I dunno; it's frustrating though, isn't it? Perhaps you should document what you eat at The Daily Plate or Fitday, or just in a journal, and go over it with your nutritionist or doctor. There may be some problematic things there that you don't realize. Being as far out as you are, it's not unusual for weight loss to slow down, but it shouldn't stop unless you're taking in extra sugar or carbs that maybe you're not aware of.
Best of luck!

Marie,
Hello! It's good to see you posting again! It is perfectly normal actually for weight loss to come to a crawl after you are more than a year post-op. Yes. You can still lose weight! But it takes some healthy lifestyle habits for that to happen after the honeymoon stage.
Check with your nut. Mine recommended that for me to continue losing weight that I maintain: 1000-1200 calories (your weight loss will come to a halt if you don't get enough calories in as well as too many), +100 g of carbs with at least 30 g of them being fiber (less carbs can lead to ketosis..not good. less fiber can lead to constipation), less than 20 g of fat, 50-75 g protein, and at least 64 oz of water (low/no cal, non-carbonated, non-caffiene). I typically target for +100 oz of water. Water..the pure stuff, works better for me than anything else.
When someone gets on a platau (at LEAST 6 weeks of NO weight loss at all), it is recommended that you check your PEW: Protein Exercise Water. An increase of one or more may be just what you need to get that scale going again. With the exercise, often if you change what exercise you are doing, that will help...so if you typically walk every day, try putting on some headphones and dancing to some of your favorite tunes. If you normally do a treadmill, try going to the 'Y' and swimming some laps. Myself, I supplement my walking with playing with our dog. Make it fun! That way you'll be sure to do it again & again!
Just don't give up! Your tool will still work! Mine still works and I'm almost 4 1/2 years post-op! I prefer SparkPeople.com because I can not only log my food, water, and exercise but I can also access a wealth of knowledge about just about everything to do with weight loss or gain.
