Good Sunday Morning!

Good Sunday Morning my fellow Hoosier Losers!  I am up and at em early this morning, don't have to be to wor****il 8 but just kind of used to getting up a lil earlier than that.  I had a nice productive day yesterday, got my closet straightened up and got our taxes filed.  Its always a good day when I get the taxes done.  This year they were not so bad, I have used turbo tax for about 5 years now so each year it just imports all your information.  This year they offered me a free Quicken program so that will be super nice next year because I can just import all my tax information instead of trying to gather all the papers and sort through them.  We are not getting as much back as we have the last couple of years because we didn't pay as much out in property tax on either house, but at least we are not paying the IRS, hate when that happens!

I ate a slice of pizza yesterday, did horrible with my waterand slacked on going to the Y so this morning I weighed myself and I am up a pound.  Thats great motivation to do better today!!  I hated seeing the scales going up instead of down.  I bought a new scale last week at Target, I haven't had one in the house for about 5 months because I became so addicted to the scale.  I thought I could handle it now and needed it because I am no longer going to Curves and the Y's scale is broken but I see a pattern forming already.  Weighing with clothes on and clothes off , in the morning and at night, after eating and after pooping, hair wet and hair dry...ugh ugh ugh

Good morning everyone!

I thought I'd pop on here before I get ready to head for work. Yeah, work on a Sunday. It was the day that I could inconvenience people the least in order to do the upgrades on their instruments. I'm hoping the instrument tech put another disc on my desk so I can be working on two instruments at once. Otherwise, it's alot of waiting time. Hmmm..just may have to make a few calls to my OH buddies during then!

Jeanie..I weigh once every day...when I get up, after I go to the bathroom, and before I eat/drink anything and before I put a stitch of clothing on. On my days off, I still get up early even without the alarm so I am fairly consistent with time too. My weight fluctuates from day to day. I figure there are alot of reasons for that. Maybe verything I've drank hasn't gotten filtered out yet. Maybe all I ate hasn't made it through the colon yet. Maybe I didn't sleep as well that night. So..my weight is 160 +/5 pounds. I'm not gonna freak if it's 157 on day and 163 the next. That's just how my body processes things. I don't consider weight a gain or loss until it is consistenly up/down at least 3 days in a row. If you're going to weigh yourself every day, do it so you can understand your body. I keep track of mine in Excel (I have since 9/04). At work, statistically, we don't consider something a shift unless it repeats in that pattern for seven times.

I do hope all has a good day. Time for me to get ready to head.... To get all of the instruments done will probably take about 8-9 hours so the sooner started, the better.

Thanks Sherri... I needed to be reminded of that.  I think for me 7 days would be a good number to go by.

Hi everyone! I'm sipping my Click and working on my transcription...the only day of the year I don't do that is Christmas day!

We're going to my aunt's for dinner today, she lives a little over an hour away in Pendleton. She lives alone, so we try to get up there to visit her as regularly as possible, and of course invite her to our home as much as possible. She really appreciates it, and we enjoy her company. She has been good to us over the years.

I need to get some stuff up on eBay today to keep my Christmas fund growing! It's amazing how quickly that happens just selling stuff that's in my way or I can't wear any more. I should have a nice little chunk available for Christmas this year, and I plan to spend every bit of it when the time comes!

I've been thinking about how to fit some exercise into my busy days. My work at the Post Office isn't sedentary, but it certainly isn't aerobic, either. Since it has warmed up a little, I need to take some power walks on my 1 1/2 hour lunch, but lately I've been running back into Richmond to deliver transcription. Gotta come up with another way to do that, perhaps letting my mom deliver for me as she has offered. I've been meaning to take my dumbbells to work and leave them there ****rtainly don't use them here at home). Maybe I'll remember to do that tomorrow! We'll see.

Anyway...better get back to it. Have a terrific Sunday, everyone!

Morning everyone.  Not much on the agenda today except for laundry and cleaning house.

Since we're talking about scales and weighing in, I'll put in my 2 cents worth.  At first, I weighed daily - it was like magic watching the pounds melt.  Now I weigh maybe twice per week.  I was pleasantly surprised to wake up this morning, go potty, and jump on the scales to see 3.6 pounds gone since earlier in the week!  This brings my total loss to 46.4 pounds.  I am doing the happy dance!!

Best of all, everyone from family to co workers has noticed.  Now, by all means, I am not a tiny person - not yet anyway - but they've been raving over my weight loss.  Once I lose about 20 more pounds, I'll be smaller than I was when we got married nearly 11 years ago!  Whee!

Had Jeannie's Turkey Taco Casserole for dinner last night - MMMM! It is soooo good.  The guys in my house loved it.  I'm trying the crustless pizza recipe for dinner tonight.  I've told the guys that I'll cook on the weekends, and during the week they're on their own - which is fine by them - they are on a health kick anyway since they are taking a trip to the Grand Canyon for hiking and camping in June.  (In case anyone thinks I am guilty of child neglect, said child is 29 - LOL)

I'm off to tackle Laundry Mountain.  Have a great day!

Good morning all!

I am up and getting ready for church.  I had a day packed with stuff to do yesterday.  Kim and I got to visit at the ball game since her stepson played for the other team.  I delivered the valentine to her that I got in the mail yesterday.  She nearly cried.  She was telling me how it was going to be such a blessing to her family.  She really needed it.  Thanks to that special someone that provided it to her.  She is trying to beat me up to get it out of me.  LOL

I am gonna have to get motivated today to get some things done around the house and get on that treadmill.  So I am counting on you guys to bug me tomorrow and ask me if I did my 30 minutes on the treadmill.  I need that kick in the pants to make me work harder at it.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and God bless you!

Huge hugs,
Tracy

Good morning ladies!

I am up EARLY this morning.  Sunday is usually the one day a week I don't have to do Dad's dialysis but this week I took yesterday off.  I threw a baby shower for my friend.  She is having my God Daughter soon!  We are excited.  The shower was tiring but fun.  She got lots of goodies.
Later today I am going to see my lil' sis (sorority) and her family.  She moved to New Zealand about a year ago and she had just had her son.  He is a big boy now.  They are leaving in a week or so and they won't be able to afford to come back for at least another year maybe longer.  She is getting her Ph. D there.  She did her masters in Norway but the air fare was a lot more reasonable so she was back more.
Then our friend PHIL is coming to our house b/c he proposed to his GF on Friday and we haven't got to see the ring yet.  I LOVE jewelry.  Just talking to him leading up to the proposal has made me want to go buy diamonds.

* I weigh here and there.  I don't seem to have a schedule.  But I find that my weight yo-yos quite a bit due to water weight.  So, I stick with the lowest number.  Hey, it seems like I have earned it!!!  Normally, I will get a low number and then I will bounce back up about 2 lbs and then it goes back down in about 2 days.  I don't know if my body holds the water to make up for it or what?   So, I try not to worry about it.  I am still early enough out that I haven't had any gains yet.  I am sure I will have to adjust my weighing when I get farther out.

Hope everyone has a GREAT day!
