Research done on New Whey Bullets...my new view of them
I am going to assume for the sake of argument that our new digestion system will absorb collegan protein. This is the part that concerns me about the bullets it is mostly collegan protein. So this is where I did a lot of my research on what is collegan protein and how is it different from whey protein isolate. Collegan is missing two amino acids that whey protein offers (since it is a complet protein). How big of a deal is that? I really have come to the conclusion that its not that big of a deal if you do what Christies nutritionist said and a balanced diet along with the bullet. A balanced diet, plus the whey protein in the bullets will more than likely offer you enough amino acids to keep your body working efficeiently. I am going to once again assume that is why your nut reminded you to balance things out when using the bullets.
The worry wart in me still wishes you ladies would add a whey protein isolate once in awhile though lol. However, lets raise our bullets and do a toast!!

33 lbs lost prior to surgery!
Raising my protein bullet and toasting Jeannie - a great researcher!!
I believe you are right - the key is the balanced diet along with the bullets.
I feel my diet is balanced well.
Breakfast: 1 oz protein, 1 oz fruit
Lunch: 1 oz protein, 1 oz vegetable
Dinner: 1 oz protein, 1 oz starch
Snacks: 1 5 oz can tomato juice
SF Jello or broth
SF fudgesicle (the brand I buy also gives me 2 g protein due to the milk content and only 40 calories)
Thanks for the research and info Jeannie!
I want to know about the fudgsicles too! I remember talking with you about them at the last support group and I went to the Wal-mart in Camby and all I could find was the "No sugar added" fudgesicles. I never found any that were sugar free.
My MIL found a variety pack of SF popsicles for me (at Kroger in Mooresville, I think) and it had SF fudgesicles in it, but I haven't been back to see if they still carry them or not.

ETA: Ugh - now I can't get into my photobucket account. Anyway, here's a link to the product page with a picture of the box and the nutrition stats. They are 40 calories, no added sugar (sorry - I misspoke earlier), 98% fat free, and have 2 grams of protein.
