Friday Thread
I don't see a Friday thread yet. Did I miss it?
I'm working today, one of the rare Friday's. Have so much to do at work, seems I never get caught up. Seemed like spring this morning walking across the parking lot. But I know we are supposed to get blasted tomorrow with more artic cold. I'll enjoy today's warmth while it lasts. I need to IM Floyd and check on Brenda. I feel so guilty that I don't keep up with more people. Especially friends.
Tracy, how did the interview go?
Gail, are you feeling better today?
Leah, hope all is well with you this morning.
Scott, any leads yet?
Sherri, enjoy your Friday off. Hope things are well with you and Bill.
Ellen, hope Dana and the kids are all recovered by now.
I wish everyone a wonderful day. Enjoy the springlike temps. Blessings to all.
Julie
Julie, we must all be off to a slow start this morning. I couldnt sleep until 2am so I am slow to go.
My interview went awesome. I felt pretty confident when I left. Then Peggy called and said that her supervisor said "She kicked butt!" LOL. So let's hope next week brings the final interview and I "kick butt" again. They said decisions will be made by mid-February. Sooo I guess I learn patience in the meantime. I have none now. LOL
I am kinda at another stand still with my weight this week. I am trying not to be discouraged though. I am seeing a difference in my clothes again. That makes me excited. Marc and I also finally got my treadmill inside so I can use it. I miss walking so much. Even my poor MinPin has put on a couple pounds. He wants "Mommy" to take him for walks again. I just might do that today if the temps are decent.
I hope all of you have a blessed day and keep a smile on your face. It just makes you feel better and everyone around smiles back!
Huge hugs,
Tracy
I'm back at work for the morning. So I had to get on here while I have the chance. My computer at home crashed. Good old IUPUI locked it up with a virus on their system.
Yesterday was a HOOT. I was so surprised to see Jacqui, I had been trying to figure out a way to squeeze in a visit since I was going to be so close. And boom, there she was. Jacqui really knows how to put on a meeting. Everything went off without a hitch and the food was really good!
Jacqui, you look mah-va-lous. You are going to have to start carrying a big, heavy purse so you don't blow away in a stiff wind.
I'm so blessed to be a part of the OH family. I thank God for each of you!
Annette
I can eat as much as I want...I just don't want much.
I'm ashamed of what I did for a Klondike bar...
Im glad to see im not the only one moving slow this morning.
We overslept so i had to take the boys to school and then get Joey.
I go to Andys meeting today Joey is going with me so i dont make a fool of myself.lol
I have been staying up late and sleeping in and i didnt realize how bad it makes me feel,i feel blah all day.
Im hoping everyone has a great day and enjoys the weather.
Good morning everyone!
I slept in today. Actually..I woke up at 1:30. Went to the bathroom and back to bed. Woke up at 4 (I usually get up at 3:30). Let Lotus out, went to the bathroom, let Lotus in, and went back to bed. At 6:30, I gave up and got up. So...I kinda sorta 'slept' in. I stayed in bed anyway. lol.
Dr. Wittles nurse is suppose to call me today. I called her on Wednesday but she didn't know anything yet. I sure hope they figure out something soon. Today when I got out of bed, I doubled over and the pain just took my breath away. I took a vicodin and had to wait 1/2 hour before I could trust myself to walk. When it gets like that, the tramadol is like eating a piece of candy instead.
I got a text message from Shellie last night. She's looking forward to coming home tomorrow and was thrilled because she is graduated out of a wheelchair.
Julie..all else is going fine for Bill & I. He goes for a meeting next Friday for some pc certification courses. He asked me if I'd like to go to them too. I figure that the certification may help me to get into IT someday so I'm looking forward to getting more info about it. Brenda & Floyd came bye last night and met Lotus. She did her best to suck up to both of them...lol. CJ was probably jealous when they got home. I think Brenda is looking fantastic.
Tracy...I hope you hear something soon about the job. Let's hope they just decide 'we got the best right here, why look any further!?!'.
Kim....I'm off today & tomorrow. Let me know if you'd like to
Ellen & Gail..let me know if you want to meet while you're on this side of town. I miss seeing you both!
Lisa...let me know if you'd like to get together during one of your trips to Indy.
Annette...I agree! Jacqui is definately the go to person when it comes to arranging activities. She did wonderful arranging the Holiday World get together last year and got us some terrific discounts.
You all have a terrific day today! No big plans here that I know of...

Scott, not sure if you are interested but I know here in my town (and i'm sure in most other towns too) we are still doing testing and stuff for jobs with the census and its pretty much make your own hours. I went in to take my test a couple of weeks ago. They make around 10 or more an hour, it is only seasonal but hey it would wor****il you could find something else. I told myself heck, I need to be doing all that walking any ways so why not get me a part time job that envolves walking lol. Heres the link to the jobs part and you would just have to call the number on there to find out when they would be doing any testing around your area if interesed http://2010.census.gov/2010censusjobs/ They told us that they usually put you in areas around where you live too. You even get paid for the 3 or 4 day training you go through. If you have experience as a manager you can even apply for that you just have to take 2 test then lol.
Well hope everybody has a great day

I had planned to go visit with Brenda today- BUT- my daughter Penny called & needs me to get & keep the kids. Her babysitter & kids have head lice! So, I am bummed!!!I so wanted to spend time with Brenda- dang it! Well, there is always another time. i sure hope the kids don't get it- dang bugs!!
My SIl grandpa died yesturday, so we will be attending the showing tomorrow. He has 83, had fallen & broke his hip, & ended up never coming out from the anestetic from surgery, so died peacefully. The family is so close- they are like our family. The funeral is Monday, so we will be going to it, or taking care of the twins.
Well, hope everyone has a wonderful day.It is suppose to be warmer so get out & enjoy it if you can. I think we will go for a walk after I get Jax from school. I have really done alot of new things at the gym, so am sore. I sure can tell when I can lift 20# where when I started I couldn't lift 5# without groaning & help.
Love you all bunches,
Ellen

ENDURE,

I am at work today. I was at a workshop yesterday. The presenter was great. I got some really good information.
I am still assessing the kids. We are almost finished with the first grade and have started the second grade. I will be glad to finish and get back to a routine again.
The gynecologist is working around everything he and I want done when he does my prodecures. He now wants to check to see if I am in menopause or not. I want him to tie my tubes while he's in there. He is going to check to see if he needs to do it. This has been a real whirlwind. Right now I am scheduled for a D&C, Hysteroscopy, Endometrial Ablation, Tubal Ligation and Lesian removal. I figure while they are there, let's get it all taken care of. This is all going to happen on Monday, February 9th. They had to move it to Indiana North Surgery Center because St V's won't let them do the Tubal Ligation. So that updates that piece of my world.
I am glad to hear all the good news for our OH family. It is great to hear. I hope those of us still working through some trials hang in there. This is a great place "to share our joys, but also divide our sorrows". Everyone keep your chin up. Dig in if you need too. We can do this together.
Everyone have a wonderful weekend.

I am just home puttering around today. My step Mom is recovering from her trip to the oral surgeon yesterday. She is sore and her face is still all swollen. I went up there last night to see if they needed anything or just to help out with the girls.. my neices that came to the exchange. My sister is staying with my Dad and her Mom with the girls at this time. Trying to keep her out of a bad situation.
I went to my brothers for a bit too. He is the one who had spinal surgery back in December. He is doing so much better and will be going back to work in a few weeks. He and his gf are not getting along too well right now. So that has me a bit worried. He is a single parent of one and she is a single parent of 3. So they are working to blend their family and it is a struggle at times. I just want him to be happy.
My daughter is so excited about going to college. She got her admittance papers from IUPUC and she is just bouncing off the walls. I am so excited for her. Now she is working on scholarship and grant stuff. So Darrell and I need to get our taxes done asap, so we can fill out the FAFSA. All of this is new to me. I didn't go to college. None of my immediate family has. My son is the brain of the family and had so many scholarships handed to him and he didn't accept any of them. It is so hard to see him not take advantage of this. I don't want my kids to have to struggle like I have.
Everyone have a safe and blessed weekend. Hugs to you all.... I know Gail does set the bar pretty high for us when it comes to hugs. But I am going to try to be a better hugger!!
