Approved! Yeah!

My daughter just found out that she has been approved by insurance. She just had her pre-op tests and everything came out fine. She has 5 pounds to go to meet her surgeons goal and then they should be ready to schedule her surgery. I am every bit as excited for her as she is. I know this is going to give her the tool she needs to get a handle on her weight. Other than her weight she is pretty healthy. For now that is. She has a mother and two grandmothers with diabetes, amputation from diabetes, and heart disease. So whats the odds for her if she doesnt take back her health. I'm setting aside money right now to buy her some new clothes when she gets down to a stable weight. She never did like to shop for clothes in the past. Bet she will this time next year. Cant wait to see my beautiful girl feel good about herself again.

YAY! I'm so happy for your daughter. I remember my excitement when I FINALLY was approved and had a date. I understand about the shopping, I always did mine online or from catalogs. There was never anything in the stores that would fit me. It's fun to shop now! I'm happy that your daughter will soon get to know what that feels like.
