rough day today

I had a rough day today at work.  It was my 2nd day.  I spent my morning fielding calls, employee problems, irate customers, and generally running around - situation normal.  About 11:45 (I got to work at 7) I started feeling exhausted, clumsy, and a little disoriented.  I realized I had had less than 24 oz of water and had not gone to the bathroom at all since I'd been at work.

Luckily, I recognized the early symptoms of dehydration.  I left at noon and came home.  I drank 2 bottles of water, had lunch, drank some more, and took a 3 hour nap.

I have to remind myself that no matter what is going on, I have to be carrying a water bottle around as if it were velcro'd to my hand.  Yikes but I felt horrible today!

Oh Christi,
I am so glad you recognized the signs & did something about it. YUP, you gotta keep fluids with you to drink, I did /do everywhere I go. Keep an extra water bottle at your desk, in your car, purse, etc. I even had to post a note to myself in the bathroom to drink my water-hows that for forgetful?! Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for you Hon.

Thanks Ellen.  I've packed water in my tote bag, and I'll put one in my car.  I probably need to get a bigger purse and tuck one in there too!

Christie, I am glad you are ok.  I will be the first one to tell you to carry a bottle EVERYWHERE and I keep one in my purse too!  I even take one to church with me.

Be sure you dont forget to sip all day even at the office.

Huge hugs,
Tracy

Wow.  Isn't it amazing how quickly our bodies react.  I have gotten so that any time I am not feeling well, I start drinking water.  You know most times I feel better very soon.

It's really easy to forget to drink when you're busy, isn't it? Having water with me all the time was such a big change for me, I was never much of a water drinker before surgery. Now I have it with me nearly all the time.

Glad you're okay!

Oh Christie! I am so sorry that happened.  Bless your heart!  I was wondering how you were doing.
But you are right... carry tha****er with you at all times!  I know it was probably easy to get consumed with all that was going on at work. But we want you to take care of our Christie too!!!!
Blessings to you all, Leah
