GNC has these protein bullets on sale.  Just want to make sure we can use them and that they are ok.  I have tasted the grape mixed with diet cran grape drink and it was really good.  THanks, Terry

If you use the protein bullets you are cheating yourself.  My nutritionists says no to these.  Below is a copy of the ingredents list notice that there is a lot of proteins and very little is "whey protein isolate"  the rest is just garbage to your body (its the same kind of proteins used to make jello, jelly and such).  Hope this helps.

Pure deionized water, Actinase (patent pending blend of enzymatically hydrolyzed collagenic protein isolate, whey protein isolate and caseine protein isolate), malic acid, Myovol Complex (proprietary blend of leucine, valine and isoleucine), all natural flavors, acesulfame-potassium, sucralose, blue 1 and red 40.

Terry, I've been using the protein bullets, as thus far, they're the only type that hasn't made me nauseated.  I'm using the fruit punch flavor mixed with crystal light.

In light of what Jeannie's Nut told her, I'll email the Nut I saw at my appointment and see what she says.  Just bear in mind that just as St. Francis has different dietary guidelines than St. Vincent's, the Nuts probably have different opinions too - you just never know.  Whatever I find out, I'll share on here.

I used them in the beginnig with my doctor and nut. approval. I know that at one point they didnt care as long as I was getting some down. Most every type of protien made me sick and I wasn't able to keep them down or even get some of them down with out it coming right back up.  These were the  most tolerable for me.   As Christy said all docs and Nuts are different (ex my doc sent me home from hosp telling me to eat scrambled eggs and tuna, just blended up, most didnt get to do that for a while) So just my suggestion would be if you are ever in doubt to shoot you nut a email or call them.  If I remember what i read right, your with st vincent (hope I got that right lol) if so they were really good at returning my emails pretty fast.  Dont get me wrong I'm not saying the other post was wrong in any way it just they are so different from nut to nut.  If anything, if you dont have an issue with other protiens, maybe just use these for maybe a convience thing when you aren't able to take the powder protien or whatever kind you have been using.

Thanks for the opinions.  I know they sell them at St V's so I thought they were probably alright, I think it is a different brand though.  Hope I can find out for sure before the sale goes off.  It was buy one pack of 12, get another pack of 12 for 1/2 off and free shipping.

Well I hope you can find out before then cuz thats a pretty good deal cuz those babies are expensive lol.  I got mine from the guy in greenwood, I cant remember his name or the shops name.  I know I felt sorry for the guy (the owner) when he was helping me out he opened about everything he had for me to sample to find something that i could get down. I'm sure the other customers in there thought i was a wierd one

you can buy the bullets everyday at walmart for a lil over a buck if you want them. They come in a couple different flavors. They used to be 99 cents when I had my surgery,  the price has gone up a few cents.  I bought a few of them and then seen discussion on them on the main board thats why I even thought to ask the nut about them.  I still have them sitting on top of my fridge.
