New here with Dr. Mattar and Clarian Bariatrics

Welcome.  Dr. Mattar didn't do my surgery, but when I moved back here 6 months after my WLS I transferred my care to him and he is wonderful.  I think he could almost walk on water.  I just love him.  I used to go to the support meetings but seems like the past year has kept me so busy I don't get there, plus in the winter I don't drive after dark that far.  Work, church, and home pretty much does it for me.  I do look forward to meeting you eventually.

Dr.mattar is wonderful..He did mine,my daughters,my couson..when he did mine..he even sat down and wacthed the today show with me ..on my couson his ended up bieng 7 hours long and ,He wa**** by a car as a youngster and had tons of adhesihions and a hernia...but Dr.mattar kept all of us posted and fixed everythang...he had no idea that he was so messed up in there till he got in there...he was going to try to do the sleeve instead when he seen the mess but my aunt said please try to do the RNY  still..so he did...every thang worked out....Dr. mattar is a kind caring man...even after a few months after my surgery.. my liver emzyes shot up and he was out of state...his parterners had put me in the hosp..aboult 8 that night here walks in Dr,mattar...He said I flew back just for you...just left the airport...He was up there every day ...IVe seen him come in as late as 10pm ...He cares for his patients...Nurses just love him...said his wife is very devoted too...she has been up with him too....ONe nurse had the rny and was not passing gas for a while and he had called xray to get her and they never came..so Dr.mattar said Im taking you down my self ...he then waited on her and brought her back and did surgery again ..her boawl just had not woke up yet.....You picked a very good and special surgern...good luck on your jounery....

Thanks!  When I had my gallbladder surgery I stayed overnight and he came and saw me immediately when I got to my room, about 5pm and then again at 930pm and then was right back the next am at 730.  BTW, my husband owns a nail salon there in Plainfield (Elegant Nails), and I am in there sometimes on Thursdays and Fridays, you should pop in sometime and say hello:)

Dr Matter is my surgeon also, I just love him, he is wonderful!! 
I try to get to most of the Wednesday Clarian support groups, but with the distance, can't make them all.  I am going tonight so maybe we can meet (I have on a turquoise suede type jacket).

I will be there!  I will have on a yellow and white striped thermal top with jeans and purple sleeveless coat type vest thing.  And I do have the bob haircut like in the picture. 

Dr. Mattar is amazing! Great Choice. I love him to death. He is sooo kind and soft spoken. You will do awesome. Welcome to the boards.
