Hi everyone

Hi everyone, I doubt if anyone remembers me but I am not new to this board at all. I am a true lurker. My insurance finally kicked in and I am on the road to having RNY. I am so excited. My insurance requires the six month doctor supervised weight loss thing. So it's not going to be a fast journey but so far it is anything but. I am just glad that I have insurance and can really start this journey. In case you don't remember I here is a bit about me. My name is Holly I am from Fort Wayne and going to Dr. Sloan. I am 33 married for almost 10 years and have four children from ages 2-8 years. I currently am a stay at home mom but am looking for a job. That's about all I can think of for now. I am definitely going to start posting more. I want to get to know all of you and pick your brains on all of this. This is such an awesome group of people and I want to be an active part of the board. I look forward to getting to know you.
Holly

Congrats on taking the first steps on your journey. Please do post more, and ask us all the questions you like. If we don't know the answers, we probably know someone that does.
Too bad you didn't post last week - we just had a huge clothing exchange this past Saturday. Be sure to watch for the next one!
Looking forward to hearing more from you.

Sweet! Holly's been stalking us AND we didn't have to pay her!!
Seriously - Holly I had to do the 6 mos of Dr supervised visits and I attended support groups in my area for about a year before I had my surgery. It will give you time to loose some weight before surgery (I lost 50 lbs ). It started me thinking about portions before my surgery. Believe me when I say I "thought" I was ready for my surgery and I still have meltdown moments. We all have. The more time to prepare before your surgery the better off you'll be.
Best advise, this board ROCKS! Keep in touch with us - we've got most of the answers to you questions! IF not - we'll make something up! LOL JUST KIDDING! ok, I might but the others won't.

52 lbs lost before surgery!!

I only had to do three months of a supervised diet, but it seems interminable, I know! Keep at it, it will happen! There are just a lot of hoops they make you jump through, I guess to make sure you're serious about it. Hang in there, you'll be glad you did!
