I'm new here!

Hey all, I'm new to the site.   Just wanted to stop in and say hi.  I am in the beginning stages of trying to get WLS.  I had my meeting with Dr. Caccuci at St. V last week.  I'm gonna work on getting my psyche eval scheduled soon and then get everything sent in to insurance.  I just hope they approve me on the first letter, I'm ready to do this!  Anyway, you all take care!

Welcome and good luck with your insurance.  For me that was the hardest part of the entire process...well that and not drinking when I eat now.

Dr. Cacucci is great.  Very to the point and professional....and her staff is
great about guiding you through the required steps.  They, and St. V's never missed a beat.

Congrats on your decision to take this step.....if you're anything like me, you'll see your
life and heart change in wonderful ways in a short period of time.

Welcome to this crazy family.  I am learning fast that it truly is a "family"  We are in all stages of our new lives, and there probably isn't anything that you can think of that someone hasn't experienced.  I hope you have a support family of your own at home, but just know that all of us are here to help you and encourge you in your journey.  I have met a lot this family because my husband had surgery about 20 months ago.  I have recently decided to have the surgery, because I have seen and listened to this family of people  who have experienced the good the bad and the ugly and they still say they would do it all over again.  I have attended every support group with my husband and will always go to support groups.  You need them and most importantly they need you.  Just about the time you think you don't need the support group, someone comes up and says how much they depend on you being there.  What a blessing to know that we all help each other.  
Realize that no matter what you hear, this is your journey,  No one can make you who you are but you.  If there is one thing I want to always be is a light to someone else.  I can only be that light, if I shine the way God wants me to. 
Rest assure that you are in the best family around.  Be blessed in your journey.
