Cold medicine??

Someone please tell me it's ok to take some cold medicine?? I feel horrible and just want to take some meds and lay down. Should I take a full dose or 1/2 dose? Don't know what to do??

When I have a cold now, I take diabetic syrup. The regular syrups have sugar in them lots of time, and that can make you feel worse than the cold you're fighting!

Melissa, this was a list of OTC meds that I found listed that are supposed to be safe to take.  I have found I can do 1/2 doses of things now and it works for me.  You might wanna start out with a 1/2 dose and see if you need to increase it.

And I thank you as well!  When I return to work on Tuesday, dealing with the public, I know there are some cold germs out there with my name on them!

I got that from a posting when I was early out.  I didn't know what I could take so I decided to save it.  As I said,  they are supposed to be safe for us to take.   Please be sure to read labels as usual just to make sure you think it is safe for you. 

Hope you are better soon and can get some rest.  And Chris.... get some meanness in your body so you can fight off the germs!  LOL  You are too sweet and you know they are gonna jump right on you! 

Linda, that is a great idea!  I will start looking into that as well.  I never really thought about it since I have been lucky enough not to need anything much.

OMG! I didn't know that I got sick beause I was too sweet to fight off the germs! I'll have to tell my hubby. Unfortunately , there are some nasty germs in my unit at work right now and I think my immune system is down from everything I've gone through. I do feel better after one Tylenol Cold and sleeping all day long!

 Don't make the same mistake I did -- I took a 24 hr Sudafed. OMG. It ran through my body in about 10 hours. I was so wacked out I felt drunk. LOL
