TGIF

It's Friday.  I have the day off.  What am I doing at 5:30 in the morning?  I wish I was asleep.  I'm awake for now.  It's another day in the neighborhood.  Wow!  It's cold.  I'm glad they cancelled school for today.  I'm sure we had some kids who waited too long and outside for the buses yesterday.  I hope this weather straightens its self out.

Our daughter is coming home from college for the weekend.  She's only been there for a week, but the art supply store here is having a sale.  She needs to save all the money she can.  She is bringing one possibly two friends with her.  Our house will be hopping this weekend.   They plan to go bowling tonight.  I'm sure they won't be home tomorrow either.

I am looking forward to the Clothing exchange tomorrow.  There may not be anything in my size, but we will see.  I got a pair of size 12 jeans yesterday.  I was thrilled.  I will see you all tomorrow.

P.S.  It now 9:30.  My husband went out to go to work.  He tried to start the truck for me.  It wouldn't start so he going to jump it with the car.  When He opened the hood of the car, there was fluid shooting up about a foot.  The garage just called.  There is an intake manifold leaking.  Yeah.  That's an expense we didn't need right now.  My dh has gone with our son to get a battery for the truck.  It didn't start this morning.  I don't know if they will have the car done so I can come to the clothing exchange.  I will have to wait and see.

Julie,  I believe we have make-up days built into the calendar.  If we don't have them built in, we will have to make them up at the end of the year.

I've been awake since 4:30 and I'm off today too.  Although it was sleeping in for me since i get up at 3:30 most days.  Ashley is off today too since they closed the schools due to the cold.  Carol, does that mean you all get to tack another day on at the end of the year or are make up days built in to the school calendar?

Our ladies get together was moved from Monday to today.  I'm looking forward to it, will make it a busy day for me, but a fun one.  When I get home from hanging out with the ladies I have to pack up to go to my baby brother's for the night.  I completely spaced the clothing exchange tomorrow when I made plans with him to come over for a visit this weekend.  We rarely get to see each other because of their busy schedule and mine.  One of these days I'll surprise myself and actually be able to make an exchange.

good morning all!

I finally found a reason not to like digital dash readouts in my van.  It said -15 when I got in it to take Marc to work.  It hurts just thinking about it.  My fingers are still numb and I was wearing gloves!  BRRRRR!

I am hoping the kids get out of school again today.  I cant stand to think of the little ones out there in the cold waiting for buses and how some wont have a parent there to bundle them up.  Mine are still snuggled under their warm blankets.  Even the dog and cat got under their blankets with them.    Reese didn't like going outside this morning for his "duty".

I have plans to sort thru Marc's clothes this morning for tomorrow and take one more run thru some of mine.  I cant wait to see everyone and I am hoping to get a new pair of jeans tomorrow.  I need some so badly.

Hi all! I hope you are keeping warm and toasty! It's bitter cold here in Terre Haute, too. They cancelled school today for Vigo County because of the weather. That kind of sucks. I'm the only one who has to get up and leave in the cold today!!!

Misty.... how did your appointment with the ED counselor go? I was wondering about that.

I don't think I'll be able to make it to the clothing exchange Saturday. Bummer. I wanted to see you all. But it's a tight money week, this week, because I missed several days of work to be with my mom and Gramma for her second surgery on her arm. There'll be another, I'm sure, though.

My appointment went ok. I don't think I can do their treatment plan, 2 hours each way weekly to see a counselor just isn't going to work. Not to mention I didn't "click" with her. I felt very uncomfortable in the waiting room and it was just a really tough thing. I'm going to give it one more try in 2 weeks and then check into the hubby/wife duo my psych mentioned he found.

Bill has voc rehab this morning so we are up & at it. I have to get ready soon since we're leaving in a half hour. After that, we'll be going to see Shellie. She should be in a regular room now. Based on what the doctor told us and her behavior..it does look like she is going to be a drama queen and milk this thing out as long as she can. They are talking about sending her for a 2 week rehab now. The arm that is 'so bad'...I got her to squeeze my hand Wednesday...and she squeezed it hard. Trouble is, she won't do it unless I tell her to do it now. So...she's using it as little as possible. Besides squeezing my hand, she also opened a package of crackers and those can be a challenge for us with 2 good hands. So...let just hope she starts missing her daughter more than she's enjoying the attention. If she does go to rehab, we won't be able to visit her much because of where it is...which...may be what she needs to get the determination to do what she's suppose to so she can come home.

Bill will be having another conea transplant on Feb. 18th. They are putting in a different type of artificial one. I so hope this one works...and works for longer that his last one.

We had school here this morning and its -8,my boys were griping going out the door talking about it being evil that they had to go to school in this..lol
I am going thru more drawers this a.m. and i have some of the boys hoodies to bring they wear mens l and xl so hope some one can use them..
I love the boys dog but im telling you if they dont go im going to,they drive me nuts to much rough housing for me they never stop at least when the boys rough house they stop when 1 gets hurt.jk
Carol i love having a full house for maybe 2 days .lol congrats on the size 12

Well I'm here. Thats bout it. I was on  a 2 day straight episode and I crashed hard last night. :( I just had a rough, hard day all day yesterday and it's carried over into today which sucks. DH and I argued all morning for the hour he was getting ready for work. I really think he hates me and resents me ever having my surgery. :( I feel like a terrible burden because my self esteem sucks and every lil thing I need seems like it's a big issue to him. I just wanna scream and throw my hands up. :(

My mom is coming into town today and tommorrow for Bellas birthday party. Terry has a school meeting so he won't beable to join us for the exchange. DOn't forget tommorrow at 4 is Bellas party at chuck e cheese , all is invited. That will give us Adults more time to chat and visit while the kids are running around havig fun. LOL
I work tonight at 4. It's sooo cold out. Terry was out last night putting in a new radiator in his blazer, yep. The coldest night of the year! He didn't get it finished, so he will work on it tonight. Hope everyone has a warm day. see ya all tommorrow!

Shanna - Terry must be a lot like Wally - he worked on his Jeep most of last night, and tonight and tomorrow, he's putting in a new engine!  Boys and their toys.....

Gotta finish getting out clothes for the exchange.  I have one tote full already, and I'm starting on a second.  Hoping someone brings winter coats!  Mine's too big, but I'll have to wear it this season.  Looking forward to buying one in a much smaller size this fall!

Since I've been sick this week, I'm going to cheat and just stop and get a fruit tray.  I figure we can all nibble on fresh fruit.  I don't want to make anything having been sick.  I do feel better today though!

I'll have my daughter with me tomorrow - yesterday was her 34th birthday....  hard to believe.  Seems like just yesterday was her first day of school, blonde curly hair, missing front teeth.... LOL

Enjoy 'em while they're little!

I'm looking forward to getting some new things that fit better!  I go back to work Tuesday and would love to have something new that shows off the fact that now my boobs stick out farther than my tummy!  LOL
