Hey everyone. I just got home from my 1 mo surgeon appt and dietician appt. All went pretty well. We discussed my issue with still struggling to drink cold fluids and the fact that I got a very soft scrambled egg stuck the other day and threw it up. He is afraid that I have a stricture so I am scheduled for an endoscopy tomorrow afternoon. Otherwise, everything is good. I am cleared to return to work Saturday night and also to start working out more aggressively.

Glad everything went okay.
You know when i drank something cold it felt like i had a big air bubble and couldnt swallow cause it hurt,so i started drinking room temp which i hate.
But it got better and i couldnt do eggs for 3-4 mths out everytime i did i got so sick so i left them alone and would try every once in awhile...
Good luck sweetie

Good thing is that if it is a stricture, you should be right as rain after the endo from what I hear!

Sorry you've had so much trouble hon.  Seems I am really not having problems - I have 1/2 a scrambled egg (fills my 1 oz portion cup) every morning with a pinch of RF cheese, and I'm on a chicken salad kick right now cause it tastes so good.  None of it pureed, with no problem.  I just chew, chew, chew.

BTW, I will bring that Nectar fuzzy navel for you tomorrow, and I will take your calcium crystals.  How much do you want for them?

I also have an unopened bottle of Bariatric Advantage Calcium lozenges in Wild Cherry flavor if you're interested.

I doubt that you have a stricture, but hey, he's the doc! Always better to be sure. I got the "stuck" feeling you describe with SF Carnation Instant Breakfast until I was about a month and a half out.  Never could understand why liquid would give me that feeling, but it did for a while. It's all good now, though. I'm so thankful I'm past the stage you're in! You will definitely have your "moments" while discovering what you can tolerate!

I sincerely hope all is well with you tomorrow, and that you just keep getting better and better. Hang in there, it's worth it!
