So today is going to be hectic. I have to go to the eating disorder clinic and I'm scared out my mind. It sucks too that I'm in the midst of a mixed manic episode. I've not slept in 2 days really and it's just not kewl. :|

I hope everyone has a good day

Hi OHer's,

I have a two hour delay today and I'm up already.  Go figure.  It will be an interesting day at school today.  It always sets the kids off to have a change in their schedule.  I'm still working on assessing all of our first and second graders.  We're almost to 3/4 of the first grade finished.  Then it's on to second grade.  I am hoping to get finished so I can have groups started before I go in for my female procedure on Feb. 9.  We will see how it goes.

I hope everyone is careful in their travels today.  Let your vehicles warm up before you take off.

I went to my first Relay for Life captains meeting last night.  It was a good meeting.  I am also going to be on the Westfield organization committee for it.  I'm going to be in charge of the Logistics committee.  I know I am in charge of organizing where the fundraising booths and campsites are. Other than that I am going to need more information.  But since losing my mom to cancer and my recent pre-cancer scare and all the other friends who have been touched with cancer, I feel the need to help.

I will be working my other part time job tonight after school.  Last I knew I only have to wor****il 6:00, which will be great.

I hope to meet lots of new faces on Saturday at the Clothing Exchange.  It is always a good time.  See all of you there.

Have a great day.

Good morning all!

I am enjoying a quiet house this morning.  The kids are sleeping in since school is closed.  I play to have a fun day with them.

Not much planned.  I needed a down day anyway.  I am ready for it!

Huge hugs,

Wanted to say hi on this thread, too. I work at 3 today. Work has been really tough lately. Our owner is really stressing and kind of taking it out on us. We were called in the office yesterday. FUN TIMES. This is the worse winter yet. We are kind of starting to fear for our jobs. With this weather it has only gotten worse. There for a minute there was kind of a bright spot, Yeah that has quickly diminished! I am just trying to be positive but it starting to get very hard, esp. after yesterday. I have been there 3.5 years. Feb. should be better with Valentines day coming. We sell alot of cakes and then March is much better, if we could just get through January! Please put me in your prayers and thoughts because I can't afford to lose my hours and I don't want to have to change jobs. I am trying so hard but when it's 2 degrees outside, who wants to go out! Thanks SHanna

Hi everyone! I know...it's not morning anymore but this was my first chance to read the morning post! My desk looks like I've been here all week...and never took off anytime in December! I have three meetings scheduled for Monday so it's going to be a pretty butt-kickin' day too. I am leaving early though (1:45) because Bill has an eye follow-up.

Shellie is doing all right today. She's still in ICU but will be moved to a regular room as soon as they have an empty bed. They are talking about putting her in a rehab (W. 38th & 465) for 2 weeks because of her left side still being 'heavy'. She has to be able to do 3 hours of physical therapy every 24 hours before they'll accept her though so I guess the hospital will be working toward that goal.

I talked with Shannon, Dr. Wittle's nurse yesterday. She said that Dr. Wittle's was going to recommend me doing these subQ injections in my belly daily because my small bowel isn't functioning. I asked for how long and she said 'oh, definately long term'. No, I do not want to do injections for the rest of my life!!! I sent Dr. Gupta's nurse a note about it because Dr. Wittle's is suppose to talk to her and him recommend for her to start me on the injections. I told Marta how I really did not like this option and that if it's a section that Dr. Gupta can remove & more or less do a revision, I would much rather do that. I just got a call a few minutes ago from Marta. Dr. Gupta wanted Dr. Wittle's number. So..now I'm waiting for the two to get their heads together. The blood thinner injections last year for ~2 months was a big enough pain in the butt (ummm...belly)!

After Bill's eye appointment we are having dinner with Floyd, Brenda & Gail. That'll be pretty good. Gail has been staying with Brenda this week to help her out when Floyd's at work. What a sweetie!

Later...
