Jana,
I went to WW. with my daughter as her support person,& guest once a month. I didn't do the plan though, just went to the meetings with her. I don't know if that has changed or not, but you might check into it. You would benefit from the reciepes, behavior modification tips, etc. I did WW. for years( was even a lecturer for 6yrs.) but after this surgery I haven't done their DIET-ugh! I hate that word. How would you feel at the weekly weigh in? The foods(talk of, selling, wanting)  bother you? You would get support as someone who needs to lose weight(?) but would they understand why you went through surgery, think you were promoting it, & want you to speak? I just don't know either. If it were me, I'd encourage her, support her, & cheer her on- but not join. Just my 2cents worth. Whatever you decide, kuddos to your daughter for wanting to do something about her weight issues. I'll keep her in my prayers. Love ya!

Morning everyone,
Just checking in before heading down to care for the twins. DH is still having a hard time of getting over the flu. I am  feeling so much better~woopie!!!! I went to my session with the trainer last night & had a good workout, then went to Frankfort for SG. It was about seeing you Vision in 2009 come true. Thinking youreslef a winner- so often we focus on the weight and forget about all the things we change as well- better health, strength, attitudes, etc. She gave out papers for us to write a vision of what we want to achieve in 2009 - one of mine was to be able to ride my bike ,another, be physically stronger ,another, to let go of negative self talk about my body. That is a biggy for me. I read something that really helped. I have been so depressed (using it as an excuse to eat, poor me- I can't  have PS  because of thin skin issues, so I might as well have.....) that stated we need to love our bodies for what they provide- my legs carried me at my hightest weight, my lungs worked when I was so obese, my heart functioned when I was near stroke mode, my hips bore 3 times their weight carrying me, I am no longer taking 18 medications to even function, etc. It really made me think about how I have beratted my body because I thought I would have PS to fix it, & take away all of the excess skin it is now carrying. It is my reminder of all the damage I did through the years. I am doing affirmations -join me.

I am so glad to read all oft he wonderful answers to prayer. Sherri- I am so glad to hear things are looking up for your other request, as well. Chellie is one lucky gal to have you in her life. I am so glad that all went well with her surgery, & continue to pray for quick healing for her.

Tracy, glad to hear your Dad is doing so well. I hope you be careful out there traveling in this cold.
Julie, Oh yeah, we do live closer- & I'd love to get togehter with everyone. I am only 17 mi. from Sheridan, too. keep me posted.
Brenda- sending you gentle healing hugs. Hope each day finds you feeling stronger & better.
Misty, have you contacted your DR.? It sounds like you need to right away. I can't imagine watching kids and being in a manic state. I have enough with watching the twins with them teething and crabby, let alone going  through what you are.( My mind isn't as young as it use to be! )Take care & get some rest & help.
Jana- sending you a big hug. I talked to Judi last night. Hope to see you Sat.
Jeanne, Oh I remember the laundry days with 3 daughters at home & fashion shows,etc.- all I have to do is look at the loads & loads at my daughters- yikes! I am constantly washing clothes as it is, with just Dh & I. Grandson doess his own, thankfully, which helps alot.Put on some music and enjoy your day! You are looking great by the way!

Dawn, It sounds like Markie is doing great this year. sometimes it takes awhile for everything to fall into place. I am so glad you are enjoying your job. Try to get some rest today girl! I'll see you Sat.!
Gotta go get ready for the day- have a safe, warm, and good day everyone.Prayers being said for all those who need them.

Good morning everyone, I'm exhausted. Zachary hasn't been acting right for about a week and a half, low grade temps, etc. But last night he woke up at 1am with a fever and very fussy. We were up for an hour, then he was up again at 5am. He just wanted to cuddle, can't say no to that! Put him back to bed at 7am after the oldest left for school. He was asleep for 30 minutes when my kind hearted neighbor decided to plow my drive way for me. Too bad Zachary's window is right to the front of the house. He was up and screaming again. We've been cuddling since.

Tomorrow is my first post op appt and dietician appointment. I'm looking forward to them because I have several things to talk about and answers I need. Tomorrow is also Joshua, my oldest's, 9th birthday. Time flies, seems like he was just born and now he's growing up on me. He has chosen to eat at O'Charley's (his favorite) for dinner. I couldn't say no, but guess I will eat before I go and just sip water while I'm there. That will be difficult.

Hope everyone travels safe today. It's been snowing for several hours at my house.

Melissa,

Are you allowed to have soup at your stage?  They have a good potato soup that you could sip on (just stay away from the potato chunks and bacon!).  Going to restaurants during the early stages is rough...

I am really pressed for time so just wanted to jump in and say hi. I am also glad that Sherrie and Bills daughter had no problems with the surgery and did not have cancer! Praise the LORD for that! I am going to be leaving for work soon and have to get in the shower so all of you be careful while out today as it is snowing and can get slick. Take care! Michelle

Good morning.  I'm typing in green as that's the way I feel - LOL

Bathroom troubles have ended finally.  Probably cause there's nothing left.  Feel very tired and weak, so I'll probably take a nap in a bit.  I just finished breakfast - 1/2 scrambled egg and 1 oz applesauce, and so far so good - none of yesterday's bubbleguts rumbling.

Glad to hear that Tracy's Dad is doing fine, and all went well with Bill & Sherri's Shellie!!  Yay!

Sherri - I hope you get some good news from the doctor!  You've waited long enough.

Jeannie - boy I need to do laundry too.  Might put a load in before I take a nap.  Haven't seen Sheila on for awhile - how's she doing?

Melissa - I'd order soup, or mashed potatoes, eat a tiny amount, and ask for a to go container when they bring your food.  You might even be able to get some really soft grilled or steamed veggies, but try to get something that has some protein in it.  Otherwise, you are going to feel deprived.  I would get depressed.  Ask the dietician tomorrow.  You should get to advance in your diet tomorrow.  I was told that I can even have ground beef now, although I haven't tried it yet.  She told me to cook it, pour off the grease, fill the skillet with water, boil it, then drain.  Keep repeating till there's no grease on top of the water.

Everyone else - hope you have a great day, and take care on this cold and snowy day.  I wanted to say something to each of you, but I'm running out of steam....  going to go lie down for a bit.

Hugs to all of you and see you all on Saturday.

Hi Everyone,

It's a beautiful day!!  We are all here and able to function.  We've had many prayers answered in the last few days.  It has to be a beautiful day.

Julie and I had a wonderful visit.  It is nice to have a real face, not a picture to go with the name.  We did talk about getting people from the Sheridan/Westfield/****ro/Noblesville area together once in a  while.   Of course we would want anyone who would like to join us to feel welcome to do so.  Would anyone be interested?

I offer prayers and hope and encouragement to all of you dealing with trials.

This is a great place to share the joys and divide the sorrows.

Have a great day.  Be safe if you must be out and about today.

Carol
