Hello Gorgeous People!
Just popping in to say hello! Went back to work after over 3 weeks off.....2 for the holiday break and the rest bereavement. Boy was I tired last night! lol I am doing good...just not enough of me to go around these days. I spent most all my time at mom's and really hate not being closer to be of more help to her. I am trusting God to hold her close and help us all adjust without dad. I am so proud of my mom, she is really doing great considering. We had a huge turnout at Dad's viewing...even on New Years Eve there was over 300 people who stood in line over an hour to pay their respects. And the funeral on New Years Day was packed. He was so loved and respected it really touched our hearts.
I will be extra busy for awhile now but I will try to pop on here to keep up on you all and please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I have read of some of the tough times some are experiencing right now.......funny how our difficulty with our weight brought us all together and yet at most times our weight seems to take back seat to other trials in our life. How wonderful that we have each other to help us along the way.
Hugs!
Marianne

Marianne,

How inspiring and positive you are. Even with going through losing your Dad during the holiday season.  What a strong woman you are Marianne.  I admire your strength and your outlook.  Bless you and keep us posted on how your Mom is doing.  And yes, it is wonderful that we do have each other to lean on in times of need. Thanks for sharing.
Blessings to you all, Leah

Marianne,
Sweety, you have been on my mind & in my prayers. I know what you have been going through this past year has been stressful, having lost both of my parents 17 days apart a few years ago.
Please be sure to take some time for yourself too. Remember to rest, get your food in ,and exercise. You are so important to all of us. I know your Mom has shown you what a strong woman she is & I know she has impacted you life in amazing ways. No wonder you are such a loving, caring, supportive Sister!!!
Love you bunches,
Ellen

Marianne,

It is great seeing you back on the board and posting!

You are such an amazing person, we all know where you get it from- your parents! They are proud, I am sure! Your mom seems to be just as strong as you! I hope that she continues to do well and that she is able to be strong and get along fine! I know that losing someone is hard, as I have just seen my grandma go through the loss of my grandfather! It does take some adjusting! Just keep her in your thoughts and prayers and be with her as much as you can! We will all continue to lift her up in our thoughts and prayers as well!

I can't wait to see ya agin- maybe at the exchange? Hope so!

Marianne,

I can definitely empathize with you for how hard it is to get back into the swing of things. I was off for a little over three weeks. I'd taken it all as vacation but we lost Bill's mom in the middle of all of it. So..with getting everything out of her apartment, it felt like anything but a vacation.

You never know how the death of someone is going to affect others (or yourself). Jean's death has been bringing Bill closer with his sister. I hope that continues. When my sister died, our mom amazed us with how strong she was through-out it all. It's wonderful that your dad was so loved, admired, and respected. I'm sure seeing all those people helped your mother quite abit.

Take care of yourself hon...
