Dad's Update

I am here with Dad.  I just got done praying with him and the specialist came in.  He is experiencing problems with his  pacemaker and defib.  They are going to do surgery possibly tomorrow.  His main wire in his heart is malfunctioning and they are going to replace it.  The best case would be if they could put a new wire beside the old one... Please pray that it is the case.  If they can't it will be much riskier if they can't.  So the high risk would be removing the old wire to put in a new one.

He looks so sad and scared.  I know in his mind he is thinking about Mom.  I look just like my mom did... some family members say I am her "clone".  Dad has always found comfort with me being at his side so that he can feel closer to mom.    He told me how great I am looking.  That made me smile!

Thanks for reminding me Christie!  LOL  The nurse just brought me a cold bottle of water.  So I am good to go! 

Good!  You don't need to get dehydrated again.  You'd be of no help to your Dad then except to worry him!  Take care of yourself and keep us posted.

Thinking of you Tracy---in some way maybe this was meant to be today, you and your Dad can be with eachother and feel so loved and feel the love of your Mom there with you both as you hug and pray together.

Thank you all so much for you prayers and kindness.  Daddy was resting when I left.  The prayers have already paid off in the fact that his vein looks great to accomodate another wire into his heart.  The doctor even told us he jumped for joy and praised the Lord when he saw the healthy vein and how large it looked.

Dad was a little more relieved and feeling more secure about it.  He did have one heart episode before I left him tonight.  He was unresponsive for a couple minutes but they are right on top of things and knew his heart was still beating as normal although his BP was out of line a bit.  So, they were not surprised by this.  They said it was probably a bit of the meds and his nerves. 

So I will be up bright and early to head up there for surgery tomorrow.  I appreciate all of you so much!  You made a very unbearable day much easier for me.  I thank
God for each and every one of you.
