Still doing good--1st full day home

So far so good.  I have been  able to always eat all my my 2 oz meals 3x a day, even in the hospital and continue to do so.  I was able to get all my pills in today except the Dr said not to worry about the calcium for a few days.  I got about 50 g of protein in today and about 60 oz of fluid in.  This is my first full day home from the hospital.  It seems like I always have something in my mouth though, seems like my little baby pouch should need a break.  There have been a few times I thought that I hope I am not stretching it but I am following the rules, just feeling full but never have been in pain or nauseated when eating.

I am taking Ibuprophen 200mg gel filled capsules for pain, either 1 or 2.  Last night I cut up a regular Lortab tablet into 4 pieces and used that before I went to bed.  THat liquid stuff is nasty.  THe Dr said Ibuprophen was fine to use either in a capsule form or cut up and also Tylenol was fine the same way.  He also said could continue my Celebrex for arthritis if I had arthritis pain.  All of this kinda surprised me.

I have not taken my diabetes pills--was 7 a day pre op or my blood pressure pills since before surgery.  My blood sugar without pills has been between 84 and 127 and my blood pressure way down--was 104/58 today.  I am also off my diuretic and potassium pills.

Thanks to all of you for all your support, encouragement and most of all prayers.  I am sure I am getting along this well thanks to everyone praying for me.  My big prayer request now will be that Lyn with all his high risk health problems get along great after his surgery.

Don't worry, I am prepared for the bad times too.  I know it won't always be this smooth.

Glad to hear you're doing so well, Terry! I'm amazed that you're getting so much liquid in, it took me a while to be able to do that. Way to go!

Keep up the good work,
Jenny

Keep up the great work Terry.  Isn't it cool to see such a change in your blood sugar so quickly.  I was on 4 shots of 80-100 units of insulin a day.  Plus 2 pills a day for my diabetes.  I have not had any meds since the day before my RNY.  My blood sugar is normal now.  That is a huge accomplishment for me.  I am so happy to see you having similar results with yours.
I am anxious for Lyn to have his surgery so he can be feeling great soon!!
Blessings to you all, Leah

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou has done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
