I have a headache.... what can I take?

I really don't want to take that toxic waste liquid Lortab.  That stuff nauseates me.

I woke up with this stupid headache - first one I've had post op.  Can we take Tylenol capsules?  I have extra strength caplets.  Should I just take one, or can I take two, and should they be cut in half?

Sorry to ask about something this trivial in light of what Sherri and Ellen are going through today.  Wish I had thought to ask Dr. E about this on Thursday, but I felt on top of the world then.

On the bright side, I did get a protein drink in today.  I bought a bag of frozen mixed berries at GFS - has strawberries, blackberries, red raspberries, and blueberries.  A good handful of those, a splash of Lactaid milk, and a scoop of Body Fortress vanilla - made a superthick purple protein shake that I had to eat with a spoon!  Yum!  But now I feel miserable full on top of having a headache....

Christie, I'm pretty sure we were told we could take Tylenol (liquid or capsules cut in half). I would take your regular dose. Hope someone else can elaborate more. Glad you got a protein drink in. I'm still working on it.

Thanks Melissa.  I'm going to take 2 of those and get in a nice steamy hot shower.  Maybe that will help.

Good luck with the protein!  I'm probably going to stick with the vanilla Body Fortress.

I've taken the little round red Tylenol pills.  I find that I usually only need one post op, but that's just me.

I was told we could use the Tylenol gel caps, the usual dose. I use 2 and they work pretty well. Your protien shake sounds yummy- glad you found one you like! Hope you feel better soon,sweety.

I also use tylenol and cut them in half.  I dont need two any more.... just one does the trick.  We are here for just this sort of thing.  Don't feel bad for asking a simple question.
