Friday morning...

Good morning everyone!

Misty, hope you feel better soon.  Respiratory problems can really take a toll on you.  If you can't breathe you don't want to do anything but catch your next breath.

I'm at work today!  This is the first Friday I've worked in months.  But I'm thankful that I have a job and the opportunity to work OT to help pay the bills.  This week has been so hectic the time has flown.  I was going to work tomorrow too, but with the weather they are predicting I think I'll tell my supv that if it's bad in the morning, DON'T expect me to be in.

I talked to my brother Noel last night, he said Nan (my SIL) was doing better now that IU has her meds straightened out.  I guess the place in Monticello does what it wants to do with it's patients.  Being a transplant patient on top of a stroke patient, the transplant meds come first and they weren't giving them to her in a timely  manner.  Either they were spaced too far apart or if they were running late giving them they would just wait until time for the next dose and skip it.   He tried to be there to make sure she was taken care of but his health isn't good so he couldn't make it every day.  She finally told him how she was being treated.  Even the transplant staff at IU said they would not release her to go back there.  A social worker is trying to find a better place for her.  The problem is not a lot of places take transplant patients.  They think they are too much work and responsibility.  So keep them in prayer please.  He knows that it is only prayer that has brought them this far because of her coming so close to dying so many times over the last few months.  Sorry to be so long.  Just frustrated with what they are going through.  I know God has it all under control.

With making so many bad food choices over the holidays, I'm trying to get on track in the new year.  So far so good, although I've fallen off the wagon from time to time.  I have a walking partner at work and we try and get in at least two miles a day and the half hour dance class at lunch.  I had joined Curves after my surgery, but without someone to go with I just didn't enjoy it so canceled after a year.  I looked in to a trainer but just can't afford it, so will keep walking and dancing and hopefully that will at least help in the exercise department.

My goodness, I'm really being wordy today.  Guess I better shut up and get to work.  I hope everyone has a safe, warm, joyful day.

Your brother and SIL are in my thoughts and prayers.   I hope they find a better place for her and that it isn't too far for your brother.  My heart goes out to them.
Good for you for recognizing the bad food choices.  That is so important for all of us.
I think the dancing sounds so fun.
I really enjoy your posts Julie.  Thanks for sharing!!
Blessings to you all, Leah

Leah,

Thank you so much for your concern.  I appreciate the prayers.  The dancing is really a lot of fun.  Most of the girls are younger than I am by about 10 years, some quite young (20's) we have a ball.

Have a good evening.

Good morning all! Well another day another dollar, I hope. I just woke up came in here and ate a bowl (small bowl) of bran flakes. Now I am feeling kinda funny. Hope I am not going into one of those spells.
Anyway I am going to call the neurologist today and see if there are any test results. I need to know if I have to take them over again. I hope not! Wish me luck on that!
Hope that everyone has a good day and a nice weekend. Maybe we won't get that 1-6 inches of snow. Of course if you live down south of Bloomington you aren't supposed to get any. I am up here where we might get 3 inches or so. Not looking forward to that and driving an hour to and from work. Lets all pray that people have safe travels during that time period. Anyway you all have a great day! Love Ya! Michelle

Hi Y'all!  It's me, the prodigal Hoosier Loser, jumping in for a sec. Working 14 hours a day is really taking a bite out of my OH time!

My husband has been sick for a couple of days with that crud that's going around.  Hopefully I can avoid it, the last thing I have time for is sickness.

We're having family over for dinner Sunday, I'm cooking chicken & noodles. Monday is my son's 20th birthday (THAT doesn't seem possible...), so we're celebrating Sunday since he'll be back at Wright State on Monday.

Hope everyone has a great day! By the way...Tracy, you look fantastic! Love the new avatar.

Jenny... Please be sure to take care of yourself working so many hours.  You don't want to get your resistance down with working so much. Hope your husband feels better soon.

My son will be 20 in August so I can identify with you on that.  The years just go too fast anymore.  Hope your celebration is wonderful with your family.

You have a great weekend!
Blessings to you all, Leah
