New to the Board

Hi Everyone!!! I'm Erika and new to the site. I heard about this site through my Bariatric Team.  I live in South Bend, Indiana with my husband and two children. I've had problems with my weight my entire adult life and now ready to finally take back control. 

I've decided on the Lap Band. I've also been through all my appointments and now I'm playing the waiting game until I hear back from my insurance.

I'm grateful for this site, and can't wait to make some friends, and also learn and grow through my journey.

Everyone here is quite friendly, and are more than willing to answer any questions you may have.

I think you will find a great group of people here...very informative and supportive.  I personally have struggled with weight issues my entire life.  Never hesitate to ask anything.  We're not shy about sharing here! 
On a side note, I live in Muncie, but we go to South Bend to spend Thanksgiving with my husband's family.  I look forward to it every year!

Welcome to the Indiana OH board! This site has a wealth of information in it. There are forums for just about anything. Of course, we are particularly fond of this one.  I hope that your insurance company gives you a speedy approval!

I live in Indy...but we have get togethers all the time. You are welcome to come to any that you would like to. I think it's fantastic that your Bariatric Team recommended OH. I wish more bariatric facilities did. I happened to find it by googling 'Obesity' a few years back.
