I'M NEW TO THIS BOARD!

Hi,

My name is Pam and I live in Michigan.  Not too far away from Indiana!  I had an RNY on July 1, 2005.  Beginning weight was 336 and today I am at 190.  Have had the usual bumps in the road and stalls along the way that most of us have experienced.  My plan is to lose another 10-15lbs. and then have my tummy tuck.  It sure will be nice to be rid of that big "Apron of Loose Skin" on my abs. 

I am active on many of the boards and really enjoy meeting and talking with other folks who have had similar challenges to mine.  I always learn something new and helpful.

Well, that's a little bit about me.  Hope to talk to many of you as time allows.

Great to "meet" you.  Sounds like you are having great results. I will check out your profile too.  That will be exciting to have the priviledge of a tummy tuck.  I can only dream of that at this point.  I am excited for you though!

Welcome to the board.  We are always glad to have people join us.  Thank you for checking us out.  You have had great results.  I hope your tummy tuck is seen to fruition.  I'm not sure I will need one nor if I could afford one.

Just to give you a little information on me.  I live in Sheridan.  A small town about 25 miles north of Indianapolis.  I had lap RNY.  I have lost 115 lbs.  I have 20 or so more to go.  Luckily my bumps have been pretty minor.

Hi Pam, welcome to the Indiana board.  We are a pretty good group if I do say so myself.  Congratulations on your success.  Hope your tummy tuck goes smoothly.  I don't need a tummy tuck, but could sure use the arm and thigh reduction, a boob job would be great too.  But my insurance won't pay for it, so will just go on like I am.

I live in Westfield which is north of Carmel which is north of Indianapolis.

My name is Tracy and I live in Marion.  It's an hour south of Ft. Wayne.  I am 7 months post op and have another 43 lbs. to go.  I have lost 103 lbs.  I have had a very smooth journey so far and am very thankful for that.

I love making new friends and meeting new people so feel free to drop me a line any time.  I hope you will post often on our board.  We love to share our journies, our wows, and even our daily struggles.

Hi, Pam.  I haven't been on the IN board in months, and I stumbled on your message today.  I live in Granger, near South Bend, and very near MI.

I see you go to Dr. Foote.  My surgeon was in a car accident over Christmas, and Dr. Foote is filling in for him.  I go to him tomorrow for my second (long overdue) fill.  What can you tell me about him?

Good luck getting to goal - you are so close!  Who will do your tummy tuck?

Wow, that's so great to hear from someone who lives fairly close by and will be seeing my surgeon, Dr. Foote tomorrow.  And I have only posted to the IN Board this one time.  What are the odds? 

You will be seeing a very kind, knowledgeable, and caring dr.  He is patient and always ready to answer any questions you might have.  I feel very confident in the care I am receiving from him.

I am getting closer to my goal.  I am not sure yet who will do my tummy tuck but I am considering a new dr. in Dr. Foote's office who just joined their team the first of the year.  I hope to lose another 10lbs. or so before that surgery. 

It was wonderful to hear from you.  Please keep in touch and let me know how your appointment goes.  It is supposed to snow so traveling mercies going out to you!

My name is Ellen, & I had surgery 3 yrs. ago also. I love our site here, & welcome you . I am 60, have lost over 100#.I have been married 43 yrs. to my first blind date, have 3 daughters & SIL's and 11 gradkids that keep my life busy & blessed.

I have hit a few "bumps" also, and know that as long as we pick ourselves up, and use the tools we have been given, we will do fine! I can't have PS due to skin/healing issues, & wish you all the best.
Looking forward to getting to know you better.
