HELP??
I sat down to drink some crystal light after my 30 minutes were up after eating dinner. Took a drink and felt like something was stuck in my throat. From that part on, I have been constantly belching and/or hiccupping. Still feel like something is stuck, anyone ever experience this??

Thanks Tracy. The feeling and the hiccups keep coming and going. I never know if what I am experiencing is related to my surgery or just my body. Oh well. Just making drinking a little more interesting tonight.

Hi Melissa...
I feel like that sometimes and its because I swallow air along with what I am drinking. It does feel uncomfortable. But it does go away. Sometimes I get up and walk around a bit and that does help too.
It is so odd to have to get to know your body all over again isn't it?
So maybe it was that?

That happens when I eat or drink too fast. Slow down and all will be better. Remember you are making habits for the rest of your life. It is easy to fall back if you don't pay attention during this phase. Keep on the yellow sheet. Eat and drink as instructed and no adding food that is not on the sheet.
Get active I would expect you to be up to an hours worth of walking by now. Do it in 20 min increments. Find reasons to get active and stay active. I will do a walk on break and was given a pair of yaktracks for Christmas that attach to your shoes to give you traction on icy pavement. Going to give them a try.
Shop the produce section. Make plans as the yellow sheet allows to add protein sources that are veggie based. I just found black soybeans make a great hummus and are 16 grams of protein a serving.
