drink question
I cant stand crystal light ..
I have found out i can drink unsweetened brew tea(i add the splenda to it).
Snapple noni berry juice 20 calories per bottle.
I was out with dh and the boys and i was coughing so i grabbed one of their drinks and took 1 sip and it tasted horrible and my stomach hurt so it was not worth it ill never do it again.
I love sugar free hot chocolate and coffoe.
Then i have the days where all i want is water....
Good luck

thanks everyone. when i was asking about it, my binder was at home... i have not had any soda at all, that is why i was asking... in my binder i remember writing, and them saying NO REG SODA but i dont remember what it said about diet. dr jones was my surgeon. it is not like i am going to go out and get a big fountain soda, i was just trying to find something else to try... i know i have been drinking a lot of juice and water... i know the juice has more calories than diet soda would have.... i am just in a funk right now...i lost a lot when i was sick and couldt eat obviously... but now that i can eat, i am not loosing as much....just kind of blah....
I second that Robin,
If you are drinking diet pop, then you are not drinking water. How can you get in all your water if you drinking other things? I have enought problems getting my h2o in if I drink a cup of decaf coffe or tea. iT DEPEND ON YOUR CENTER, i GUESS. Clarian says NO POP at all EVER! Even if its diet. Good Luck.

I am almost 3yrs post op and I do on special occasion have a some diet pop. I never order it when were out but will have some sips on my husband. My doctor also says no to pop but I have had some but I don't recommend you have it daily by any means and you are to early for any pop at all I believe. I drink the Walmart brand of crystal light packages (10 per box) for less than $2.00 it is great and even all my family drinks it too. they have several different flavors my favorite is grape and lemonade.
Good luck,
TyAnn

I will throw my 2 cents in here. I know what you mean about just needed a little something different.
I actually just called the St. V's nuts and asked about juice. Whiles its not the best option (calories and such) she said I could have it, I am 6 months out. Did not ask about it before hand, so not sure about newbies. Personally I just dont want the extra calories, although when I was sick last week a little OJ was the bright spot of my day!
My yellow sheets say not for the first 6 months for soda. I have had a few sips here and there. I did find them tasty. It did not hurt but again its just a personal thing I chose not to drink it. I want to keep my pouch as small as I can for as long as I can, I needed to kill the caffinee in my diet anyway. I agree with everyone else on here about its just a bad thing so for many reasons. Oh I remmebr what the other reason was its bad, it has fosfurus(sp?) because of the carbination, this can suck the calcium from your bones and well we fight an uphill battle getting enough calcium in.
Here are my recomendations for spicing up the drink catagory:
1) I found diet hot chocolate to be a good friend of mine, low in sugar and only 25 calories. I even dap a little no sugar cool whip on it ocassionally. I sometimes make it with milk and no****er to get in a few extra grams of protien
2)Decaf coffee with some sugar free syrup and milk. I was not a big coffee drinker but like an ocassional cup to mix it up a little.
3) I have lost my taste for Crystal Light, use to love the stuff. I did find some frui****er, no sugar in it that I like every now and then.
Hope that helps
