anyone on here that got blue cross blue shield to pay for vsg

blue cross will pay for rny and lapband.but i would much rather have vsg done .its alot safer i think.is there a big differents in the surgeries

Your surgeon will be the best one to help you decide which sugery will offer you the best results. I went to the surgeons office convenced the lapband was for me and came home from my initial consultation with my surgeon with my mind set on having RNY.  

 If you would like to do some research of your own might I suggest you try the VSG , RNY and any other surgery fourm here on OH, they are a great resource.  I am not sure there are too many of us here on the Indiana board that have had a VSG.

BC has so many different plans it would be hard to know.  I would give them and call give them your ID # and ask them.  It would save a lot of time for yourself.  Also, ask them about any requirements you need to meet in order to have the surgery.
