Sherri, I just now read that your mother in law passed away. I am so sorry to hear this.  When did this happen?
Is there anything new with your stomach? Have they figured anything else out within the past couple months.  I just cant keep up with everyone on here now with not being on the computer daily.  Feel me in!

Jean passed away on December 20th. It was a very peaceful passing. Her services were on the 29th.

As for me, I copied this from a post yesterday....lazy me didn't want to retype it all...lol:

What I was told last..and if they don't change their minds is that if this test shows that my intestines are NOT behaving correctly (they may be thinking that there is a blockage when there isn't), they can give me a shot to correct it and then continue as if the test showed all was normal. If the test is normal (or corrected), then he is recommending that Dr. Gupta close up my abdominal wall ASAP. It is believed that my intestines distend & everything simply because they can.

When Dr. Gupta 'fixed' the hernia that I had last March, she put a large piece of mesh over the opening of the abdominal wall instead of closing up the abdominal wall. I believe she did that because of how large the opening was/is. That mesh does not have the firmness that your abdominal wall has so it does not hold back my intestines at all. I think the mesh would be a very good thing to use on a much smaller opening but the size of mine...it's like expecting a plastic garbage bag to hold the shape of a square as well as a box does. It's just not going to happen. I wouldn't be surprised at all though if when she closes the abdominal wall and then attach a piece of mesh over the incision line of the wall to reinforce it until it has a chance to heal up.

So...either way with the outcome of Tuesday's test, I expect surgery to get scheduled to fix me. Because of commitments at work, I will be trying to get it no earlier than Feb. 1st. We are getting a new revision of a pc package and I'm responsible of being sure 5 areas (not just ours) gets it installed correctly with no issues. I am going to talk with Dr. Bergman at my next appointment and see if she would be willing in ~6 months or so to clean up the scarring on my belly and possibly get the girls done at the same time. Insurance should cover the scarring portion. I think I'm going to tell her not to worry about saving my belly button. The scars are so close to it anyway so I think she'd be able to get a cleaner line if it weren't in the way...and besides, a bikini is NOT in my future...especially with a scar going down the middle of my front.

Hopefully, they will get you all fixed up and 2009 you only have to undergo this 1 surgery and that will be all. 
I saw on another post where Peter passed away as well.  I sent Hope a message.  I cannot imagine what she is going through.
