loose stools after surgery

did anyone have bad diarrhea after their surgery?

Right after surgery, with all the liquids, that was all I had for a while.  Not fun but its all we have in us at that time.  It does get better.  I know that doesn't help right now.
You will get through this and know you aren't alone.  This is normal unfortunately.

I have the same issue. Sometimes right after I eat I have to go. Other times it waits a while, but I don't think I've had a formed stool yet.

Jeanna, liquid in = liquid out.  Once in awhile I will have a semi formed stool, especially after having something with a lot of fiber.  Otherwise, it's liquid.  Nothing to worry about.

Wow - that's interesting.  Are you still on a full liquid diet?  It's really difficult to have anything but loose stools with that.  I talked to Dr. E's nurse about it and she said it was normal.

But then again, that's just my doc.

Do what your doc says and take care of yourself!
