Preop class done yesterday
Well Lyn and I had our pre op class yesterday. They let us out around 1:30 because of the freezing rain. We got about 4 miles from the hospital by 1:45 and were stopped in traffic on 465 due to accidents.
We sat in the same place for over 4 hours. Ended up getting home around 10 last night. It was a very long day since we had to leave home yesterday am at 6 but we were so thankful we were home safe and sound.
I think the best way to describe 465 once we started moving was that there were semi trucks and vehicles "littered" all over the road---every direction, in ditches, on the guard rails.
It was funny though while we were in the 4 lanes of traffic for 4 hours to watch many many people slide out of their cars and trucks and carefully go to the side of the road and up the hill to the woods to go to the bathroom. SOme fell, some tried to climb the fence to go further in the woods and some just found a tree. I had to pee so bad but I figured I would bust my butt on that ice and trying to climb the hill so I was able to wait.
I thank God we were able to make it home. WHat a day.
