It's Sunday Morning!

Some of us had to get up early and come into work this morning.  I hope the rest of you are all snug and warm in your beds.  I can't believe I get to start the post this morning and it's my first time ever...does this make me a virgin?  Not like the virgin Mary, although I have play her part a couple of times in a live outdoor nativity pageant.  I know TMI!

I get off at noon then Mom and I have to hit the grocery store to get stuff for 3 dinners this week.  Who decided we had to eat 15 bazillion meals with family over the week of Christmas?  I'm full just thinking about it.

Try to stay on track this week ladies and gents!  Don't torture your pouches by stuffing them...then sit back and chuckle silently to yourself when everyone else is miserable!

Hi Frankie!

Like you, I'm up working...the difference is I don't have to go out in the cold to get to work, I just have to walk to my computer!

I'll be picking my mom up for church a little later, then back to the grindstone. I worked at the Post Office yesterday and then went shopping. Came home and wrapped...gee whiz, I'm awful at that! Those bags and tissues are the best things ever invented for people like me who are all thumbs when it comes to wrapping presents. My daughter can make hers look so beautiful, and mine look like a 4-year-old did it. Oh well, it gets ripped off and torn up anyway. That's my excuse for not taking my time and doing a good job.

I only have a couple more gifts to buy and then I'm DONE. I want to get that done today so I can enjoy the rest of the wee****il Christmas. My husband is one of those Christmas Eve shoppers, but fortunately he only has to buy for me and get the kids' stocking stuffers. I do the rest.

 I wish I was snug in bed sleeping.  But I have been up for quite some time now. 
Frankie and Jenny don't work too hard today.  It is Sunday. So hopefully you won't be too busy.  I would trade places with either of you ladies though.
I have most of my Christmas shopping done.  Getting little things for the kids stockings will be what I do this week.  Since I am making so many of the gifts this year, I am going to be putting most of those in gift bags. I got a bunch of them from the dollar store and will be decorating them this week. I can't see buying boxes for everything and wrapping them.  So I am hopeful that this works ok. 
I am feeling a bit better today.  I am still running a fever but not as high.  The cough is still my biggest annoyance.  Its a deep, rattling kind of cough now.  And I am losing my voice.  My family is really enjoying that!!!
The child that we sponsored for Christmas is in my mind.  I hope that she likes all the things we and others got for her this year.  I hope her parents have some peace knowing that their child was thought of and cared for, even if by strangers.
I am in the mood to watch some Christmas movies.  My hubby and I have already seen "Its a Wonderful Life" so far.  I can't seem to find " A Christmas Story" on yet though.  That is my favorite.  I know I will see it though when it is on for 24 hours straight on one channel.

good morning all!  brrrrrr!

It's a cold one out there.  Ick. 

I am up and so tired.  I was right about having my granddogger over night.  Ms. Stella took up the whole bed.  Reese laid on my legs and Harley by my head.  I couldn't move and was laying on a piece of the bed the size of a rail.  Marc slept some but was up and down throughout the night.  Chaz wasn't kidding when he said she is a bedhog not a dog.  LOL.

Marc and I are going to church in a bit and then its home to clean house and watch football the rest of the day.  Life is good!  LOL

I am finding the the season end of football is bringing me feelings of depression as it always has but at least I have NFL channel to get me through.  Even if it is old rerun games, it's better than nothing.  Yep  Im an addict.  But I refuse to go to the support groups.  LOL

I hope everyone has a wonderful day and if you are a last minute shopper, be careful out there.... it's a war zone!

Good morning everyone....

I am so sorry to have to have been the bearer of bad news this weekend. First my mil Jean...and then Hope's DH Peter. I know that both of them however are in a better place now and no longer dealing with any pain issues.

I did get all the gifts wrapped that I have bought SO FAR. I have 3 fairly large orders that haven't come in yet. I paid extra for priority shipping though so they all should be here before Christmas. I need to do some more 'in person' shopping too. First, at Burlngton's so I can get MYranda & RJ some clothes. I just got Chance (back to school) and Shyanne (birthday) outfitted in clothes in September so they are both doing ok in that department. I also have some cooking to do (sf & reg rice crispie treats & peanut butter candy....maybe I'll do sf pb cookies too). I'm not sure when I'll do that though

We did find a dog that we fell in love with yesterday. Her name is Lotus and she's a german sheperd mix. Not sure what she is mixed with but something small. She is only about 23-30 pounds and she's 2 yr old so she isn't getting much bigger. We have to have a home visit to get her so Bill sent her foster mom an email this morning to see if Tuesday afternoon would work for her. Provided that goes all right, we'll have Lotus from Tuesday on. I think she's going to be a loving addition to our family.

Tiffany and Rod are going to be here afterwhile. I told Tiff not to waste her $ on wrapping paper. I have plenty to share so they will be coming over and taking advantage of 'wraping central'...mine & Bill's nickname for my wrapping tables. So..I'm going to try to hit the mall and get back soon.
