My mother-in-law..my friend...
It took me four husbands to find a mother-in-law that I liked. Bill's mom and I have grown very close over the years. As Bill stated today, she had become my buddy.
At ~12:30 this afternoon, we received the call from Bill's sister, Suzie, that Jean had passed away. She asked the nurses to help her go potty, went, got back in bed and closed her eyes as her heart beat it's last beat. Jean had a long productive life. She had two children and was with their father until he died from cancer ~15 years ago. Since that time, she became very active traveling and playing cards.
At the age of 82, Jean met up with her high school first love, Bob. She and Bob were together most of the time for the past 13 months.
I hope that if I live to be 83 that I will be half the woman she has always been to me.
Thank you to everyone who had prayed for her. I would say that God's will was indeed done. She did not suffer. She was not in pain. She had a very full life and was well loved. She is now home with God and with Bill's dad. What more could one want out of life?

Sherri,
I'm so sorry for your loss. You and Bill are in my prayers.

I can eat as much as I want...I just don't want much.
I'm ashamed of what I did for a Klondike bar...
I'm sorry, Sherri. Sending you a hug and keeping you in prayer...
