Friday....6 days til Santa!!!!

Good Morning all! I thought I would go ahead and start the thread for the day. I haven't gone to bed ,yet!  I am on nights this week, so I am up a little later than usuaI.  I did most of my wrapping tonight. Well like a quarter of it, mostly coworker gifts. I am gonna try to get the rest wrapped by the end of the weekend. I am pretty much done...except for the last few things that I will pick up because I will feel like I didn'[t get them enough even though they have like 15 presents each. I tend to over do...but most of them this year are smaller things. But thats okay...I need to pick up something for Terry. I  still have not a clue. He has wat too many tools and even way to many more clothes!

Work has been tough! Our hours have been cut down! Our sales right now are the lowest THEY HAVE EVER BEEN! Times are starting to get tough! Everyone is starting to get worried about their job.

Ps. I sent out Christmas cards. Due to the overwhelming volume of members and lack of not owning a lifetime supply of stamps..I am sorry if you didn't recieve one.....The Pretty 19 year old with my kids and Santa is my Niece Sara. She is staying with me during her college Break. She goes to Wright State in Dayton. Another eason why i haven't been on very much. I have been swamped with an extra person in my house! She's a cutie, though!

I'm still up, so I'll play too.  I remember working nights well.   I am natural born night owl.  It's in my blood, I guess.  Congratulations on getting your presents bought/wrapped.  I admire you.  We're really cutting down this year, so not much to wrap.  I'm a (pretty) bag girl, so that helps quite a bit too.  We love to recycle all those bags!  :)  
Sounds like you've got alot going with an extra person staying with you.  I'm sure your kiddos like having her around.   
I'm just here counting down the hours/minutes so I can get on with the rest of my life!  :)  It won't be long now. 
I already feel like it's Christmas, as this is the best present I could give myself.

I just got news my bf from Georgia is coming in next friday and her and her family our staying with me....uhhhohhhh
My sons andy and his gf our going to their first formal Saturday and her mom is finally coming to meet us..Andy bought her a friendship ring for her present(young love is sweet).Lucas has a dance and then the movies tonight...
Now is there anybody out there looking for a handsome 25 yr old ,he has a good job...but a nagging mama.lol

Good Morning,
I too am having trouble sleeping. I am doing much better, Still have the black eyes & some pain also some swelling on my neck. But all is well. I had a visit from my family who live in Coal City, IN, at was a good visit with some family. But my mom said she finally got she wanted for Christmas, me skinny, that really hurt me. I am far from skinny and how sad was that. Oh well, thank God we choose our friends. Love to all.

Hi Everybody!

Gail, I just wanted to say that I'll bet your mom just meant "healthy" rather than "skinny." Of course, I'm saying this without knowing her...just wanted to give you a little different perspective. My mom says little things like that sometimes, but I know what she means, she just doesn't phrase it very well sometimes. She loves me and knew how dangerous it was for me to weigh 365 lbs. Her words were more annoying than hurtful to me...again, because I knew what she was trying to say.

Christmas...well, I'm about done. Just a couple more things to get. I do the major shopping and my husband gets to do the stocking stuffers. That's really fun! We try to get some really stupid, fun stuff for the kids' stockings, and it's always a blast. I can't believe how quickly Christmas is getting here!  We say that every year, don't we?

I am off to take Marc to work and then make a dish for his carry-in.  My kids are on a 3 hour delay... ????  What are they thinking!

Good Morning everyone,

Shanna it was nice to meet you at the St. V's Christmas party. Gail, I have heard wonderful things about you.

  I wished I could say I am done with my shopping, but I still have to get gift cards and cash  for my family that live in Evansville  I have put it off because I just haven't had the money as I am sure everyone has that problem.

   I want to go and see them, but if I go then that money is the money I could just send them for Christmas.  I have been tossing this around  all week,  I haven't been down south since Summer,  I usually go to my family 's at Thanksgiving but with my surgeries and being out of work I didn't get to go.  I want to go back home(families) but if I do then that money could be used to get them there gifts.  I am having such a hard time to make my decision. 

Everyone be careful today, I heard that my son is on a 2 hour delay,  I will be heading to Indy at 7:30 this moring for Physical therapy.

Shanna darling, I did not need the reminder to get my bootie in gear!  I will be spending the next few days wrapping...and making a list of 'oops, gotta get....' while I'm at it. I KNOW I need to go shopping yet for grandkids clothes but I just haven't had a chance yet. I have several things ordered so I hope they all come in soon. In the meantime though, I have a lot of wrapping to keep me off the slick roads!

I got all of my cards out the other day....all 223 of them! Bill asked me what I was going to do if the Directory gets another 100+ members in 2009. I said 'well, only the people I have actually met & know will get a card then unless I get a card from them first'. You know...gotta draw the line somewhere. I love each of you dearly but many of the names on the directory must be lurkers because I have no idea who they are so I will probably just send cards out next year to those who do actively post.

That said..thank you so much for the cards I've recieved so far. Shanna..your 'kids' are wonderful! And Marianne...I loved the letter & collage of pictures.

okay...time to START wrapping. Yeah...I haven't even gotten a single box done yet!

Morning Sherri...Love the new Doo in your pic! glad you liked the collage. I have gotten so I usually do a Christmas letter any more and print pictures with it...lol easy and our extended family gives me grief if they don't get one so....

I can't beleive you haven't wrapped any yet!!! And here I was picturing you slaving away on your porch/wrappng station.   I will do a little this weekend while my nuts are roasting and baking my loaves of bread. I try to do basically gift bags and make it easy on myself but then my kids are grown so it is a little easier.



Lisa...enjoy your family forgt the gifts! Being with you is a gift!
