update and questions

i havent written on here for a while.  the only place i have a computer now is at work.  anyway, my surgery was on oct 3.  i had to have a scope on nov 3, and everything seemed fine.  i went backfor my checkup last week, and i have still been struggling.  i can not eat much, take my vitamins, get all the protein in.  i kept having dry heaves to where it hurts. anyway,  i have lost aabout 69lbs! which i am really excited about. they are treating me for extreme nausea.  they gave me a patch and it seems to be helping.  anyway, my ? is has anyone else had this patch?  i dont know if this is a side effect or not, and i have been wearing it for a week (changin every 3 days) but yesterday and today my vision has been really blury.  i wear glasses anyway, bc i am nearsided, but the last two days things close have been all blury, and i can see the things far away.  just thought i would ask, i didnt know if it was something to worry  about or not.  my mom said maybe it was low blood pressure, or my sugar messing up or something???? who knows!!!

If nothing else, I would at least call the pharmacy and ask them.  I know my vision is changing and has been strange lately but it is because of the weight loss.  The hormones that your body releases from the fat makes your vision change.  Several people I know who have had the surgery have experienced it.  I would be sure to double check though, since you have recently changed meds.

thanks! i hadnt heard of anyones eye sight changing... and it just started yesterday!!! today it is worse and staying blurry longer than it was yesterday.  i just didnt know whether to call myeye dr or not!!!

Sorry you're having such a hard time.  With regards to the blurry vision, call your pharmacy and ask.  There are some patches that will do that....just can't remember which ones.  Are you washing your hands well after you apply it?

yeah i have been and i have worn one for a week and just now starting to have problems...  does anyone know if it could be low blood pressure or low blood sugar?  both of mine have been low before, but it has been a while...

hmmm.  I'd probably just call the doc to make sure.  Is there someone that you know that can check your sugar and blood pressure for you?

i am at work and we dont have either machine that i know of... i guess i will just have to wait until this evening!

You might check with your doctor too.  On the questionnaire you fill out every time you see the dietician, it asks about vision changes.  It may be med related, but I would check with your doc too.

Please let us know what you find out???   I thought it was just my imagination, but I think my vision has changed since surgery ....by quite a bit too.
