Cool new view!! Oh..and it's Tuesday!
No..nothing is wrong with your eyes. OH has done some updates. Aren't they just fantastic????? I am going to have fun checking out this new format. It looks wonderful so far though. Kudo's!!
Bill & I have our 'adoption' interivew this morning. We are looking into adopting a little girl named Sadie. Before anyone gets too

I'll be heading up to St. V's before noon. I don't know if Bill is coming with me or not (he is still undecided). I'm thinking about going by Max & Erma's for some of their soup for lunch. Then I'm going to go to Meijer's & do some more shopping (if my tummy is up for it that is).
It sounds like the roads are pretty bad down south by Misty & all of our other southern Indiana family. They may be that way in the central part of the state by the afternoon. no matter where you live, be careful today...k?
Now..time to check out the site!!

The new look to the forum looks great. It seems to be easier on the eyes.
I feel better today than I have since my surgery - I feel like I could go out and whip the world! However, I will restrain myself... lol I'm going to up my activity level a bit today and do a few small things around the house just to be moving.
My hubby is so paranoid about me getting a blood clot - he wakes me up at 5:30 or 6 every morning before he leaves, and absolutely won't let me nap. Gotta love 'em. However, I know where he's coming from. His 80 year old mom was just taken to the hospital yesterday from the nursing home due to being unresponsive. Her O2 levels were 80. It was determined that she has a clot in her lung. They're giving her meds to dissolve it. I remind him that I'm no where near 80, and that she has been inactive for a very long time.
Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day, and for those with surgeries today, that they go smooth as silk.
Sherri, eat some soup for me. My hubby had some Progresso southwestern soup last night that smelled so doggone good my mouth watered. Once I am far enough out where I can have the ingredients that are in it, it is one thing I definitely want to eat!!
Thanks but the interview has been canceled. This lady has changed around the time 4 times. This time, she wanted it this afternoon instead...like we don't have a life. She also brings up now that there is another couple being considered for Sadie too so we were just like you know, do what you gotta do. If that other couple doesn't work out, let us know but we aren't going to meet & fall in love with a dog for you to be so flakey about it.
So...I'm on my way out to St. V's now. Guess I'll do my shopping first..and then lunch! LOL!
I'm glad you are feeling better. Do definately keep walking. Did your surgeon put you on lovenox to prevent blood clots? Your hubbies fears really aren't so out of line. I had my plastics when I was 46 and ended up with a clot in my leg & one in my lung...and I did walk. With plastics though, they don't put you on lovenox & it was a 7 hr surgery. So...walk, walk, walk.

Have fun with your shopping and lunch!
I am on lovenox for 7 days - I think I have 2 or 3 days left to take it. And I think I will take your advice - get off the computer and at least walk around the house. If it wasn't so cold, I could walk around the block or whatever. I don't really want to go to crowded stores to walk around - don't want anyone bumping sore little tummy!
I think I'll work on getting some Christmas decorations out!
It is cold out there.
My boys were so mad they thought they were gonna get a 2hr delay this morning and we got nothing.
I laughed because we got nothing yet.
Sherry sorry about the interview, maybe the other couple will change their minds.
Christie i think its sweet he checkes on you like that and i love the wild chicken n rice progresso soup.
Well gotta finish working on joeys blanket for christmas I just hope it turns out okay.
Everyone have a great day and stay safe.
It's Tuesday! So that must mean we are on the final countdown to Christmas. Less than 10 shopping days folks! I don't have to worry with it this year... no job, no shopping. Sometimes that's a blessing! LOL
I have some of the projects that I started for the kids to finish. The hats and scarves are about half done. I haven't made all the pajama pants yet. Got 2 more pairs to make yet.
I have to go to Tyler's first band concert tonight. He was chosen one of four kids in fifth grade to play drums. I am excited for him but I just don't have much of a desire to go. Don't know what's up with me the past couple days. Just got the blah's and don't really wanna do anything Christmas or go out in public much. I am content to be at home and just hang out here. Seems weird since last week I had Cabin fever. Oh well, I guess its just another mood swing for me... I lost one pound last week and one pound this week so far. I am tettering on 200 exactly but the scale hasn't hit 199 yet so .... Onederland is just over the horizon. I can see the glow of the lights but I'm still not there yet. I sure hope it happens before Christmas! It's the one thing I really want this year.
Hope everyone has a good day and stay safe!

Hi Everyone,
It's a lovely dreary day outside. I am at work. Which I would rather be at home, getting some stuff done. It makes it more difficult knowing I have time I could take to do these things.
One of the things I want to do is go see Jennie at the hospital. I am just minutes away. I know she wants company. And if she is feeling up to it, company can be great.
Sherri-Sorry about the interview cancellation. It sounds like you're not supposed to have this one for some reason. You're right about the weather south. It's sounds like it could get really nasty.
It sounds like we are all a bunch of busy people.
Melissa-I had my surgery on May 15, 2008. I still have energy bottom out. I can go and go and go, kind of like the Energizer bunny. Then my energy will be zapped. I take a nap or rest and then go again.
Everyone be safe today.
