Perfectly normal.   Just get in what you can, it will happen soon enough.  Before you know it you'll get the meds down just like before.  The liquids will become second nature.  The pain will be a dim memory.

You can get through this.

I'm ashamed of what I did for a Klondike bar...

Sweetie, I know how you feel.  I've had a couple days worth of crying jags.  Fortunately, I have an extremely high pain threshold, so I've been off the prescription pain meds since Saturday.  Now, that's just me - your results may vary.

I agree - it seems like I'm taking meds all day long.  Yesterday, I got to the point that I was so nauseated that I said the hell with it and took just the rest of the ones that were absolutely necessary, and let the others go (which was a Biotin and a Vitamin B complex).

I'm constantly sipping but my mouth is dry as all get out.  And yesterday, grape popsicles tasted to me like raw cabbage - go figure.

Did you get an anti depressant prescription from your doctor?  If not, you may want to call him.

Bottom line - are you normal?  Yup - you sure are.  Everyone has the "what have I done to myself" moment.

The difference is what you do with it sweetie.  For example, I felt overwhelmed by all the meds I have to take.  So - I wrote out a schedule for myself today.  If it works out, I'm going to put it into an Excel spreadsheet to use each day.  Writing it out also made me realize it wasn't an unsurmountable obstacle.

Hang in there honey, and post when you need to.  We're all here for you, and I know you'll do the same for me.

Good - me too.  that will help you.  It's going to get easier, and we'll get through this together with the help of our OH family.

Well I cannot say I understand about getting all the meds down but I do know everything you are feeling is normal and I have asked myself the same question a few times....Hang in there you will pull through this.

I think everyone of us has felt like that at some point.  Especially at first when everything does seem so overwhelming.  Trust me those feelings are temporary and you will come to be greatful that you have been given the opportunity that your new tool brings with it.  It took me until about three months after surgery to be "happy" I had it done.  I also had a slow recovery time even though I have an extremely high tolerence to pain, shoot I even had natural childbirth.  I had a reaction to the pain meds while in the hospital that kept me there for a couple extra days. I think the throwing up I did while in the hospital slowed my recovery but *****ally knows for sure.

It was a good month before I felt "human" again.  My neighbor and fellow OH memeber Sheila (ladygirl)  on the other hand was out shopping about a week afterwards.  I know from experience that as you watch others who had surgery around the same time as you seemingly bouncing off the walls with excitment about things you can feel like WTF is wrong with me?  but you will catch up with them in your own time.  Just try to trust the process, know you are normal and keep your chin up, it only gets better from here.
