Ok so I went to the doc today and they said I was ahead of schedule on my weightloss etc....But then they asked about my perscriptions and asked how those were going.  I informed them I wasn't on any and they asked about the ones they sent home from the hospital.  Well, I told thm I didn't get anything as far a scripts from the hospital.  My doc is mad.....I just would like to know how that could affect me because she was fuming and didn't really say much after that.....

Wow - you should have had at least 2-3 prescriptions.  Mine were on full size blue sheets.  I have Carafate to prevent ulcers, Nexium,  and liquid Lortab for pain.

Did she give you scripts now for what she wants you to take?  I really don't think it will affect you, as you are complying with her instructions as much as you can since you didn't know you had scripts.

She may well have been thinking of whose tail she was gonna jerk a knot in at St. V's for failing to give you the scripts at discharge.

Dayum girl - how did you get along without pain meds???

Congrats on being ahead of schedule by the way!!

Well the doc on call did call in my pain meds and she did give me a script for nexium today...maybe this is why I keep getting sick......(well not all the time but some of the time)  We will have to see....Yeah she was pretty pissed off about the scripts and I feel sorry for the person who forgot to deliver them.....

How are you doing since your surgery?

If you've been getting sick sometimes, the Nexium will help.  I do feel sorry for the person that will get an ass chewing later... wow....

I'm doing ok, thanks for asking.  I have had no hunger issues - in fact I'm not hungry at all - ever.  Getting all the liquids in is hard enough, and now I'm supposed to add protein?  Yikes.  I'm trying!!   I've been off pain meds since Saturday, and haven't needed them at all.

ETA:  you would think that having the on call doc call in your pain meds would have been her first clue that just maybe you didn't get your scripts....

Nexium might take a few days to work, but you should see an improvement for sure!
