Monday, Monday
Well, this is the last week of school before Christmas break. I don't know this week who is more excited me or the kiddos! Tuesday night I am taking Richard to the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Holiday Pops Concert and cooking dinner for him. He says he likes grilled fish. Well, we'll see how well that goes over. Then Thursday night I am Mrs. Claus again. We had a blast doing that! Friday night, he has a big night planned for us as I will get my engagement ring that night. He is being all secretive. Knowing him, he has something really special planned as if just getting a ring isn't special enough!
Well, I need to scoot! I need to slice cheese for a cheese tray that I am taking to school this morning. I will be in Indy on Thursday for my 2yr. check up. Who will be in the hospital? Who is up for brunch? My appt. are in the afternoon. Let me know.
Love and hugs to all...Karen
Karen..I just gotta ask...where are you & Richard going all dressed up? I know where-ever that is that people are falling in love with you both. You guys couldn't look more like what we all have pictured in our minds as Mr. & Mrs. Santa looking like since we were children! I think it so wonderful that Thursday will be such a special day for you. I'm glad he's being secretive about his plans seeing how you already know about the ring! lol!
Bill & I did some shopping yesterday. Whew! Were we tired! And no..I'm not done yet but Shyanne WILL BE having her Disney Princess Talking Kitchen under the tree! LOL! I don't know how much it normally is..but I got it on sale at $60. That better be some extra special play kitchen!! It is the only thing she has specifically said she wanted though so I had to get it. I wish Myranda would tell us something besides 'pink slippers'. Other than the Wall-E movie, RJ (he'll be 3 in Feb) hasn't gotten excited over anything either. We're planning on scoping out some Tonka trucks for him. Isn't it funny how at a young age children can express so much personality? Chance..our soon to be 8 yr (Jan.) grandson is a bit nerdy...which Bill & I can both relate to. Myranda (4 1/2) is a girly-girl. She's going to be our cheerleader....friendly, out-going, cheerful...well, most of the time. Shyanne (3 1/2) is kinda shy (her name & spelling of her name fits her to a T!). She opens up for Mommy, Aunt Tiffany, and Mamaw (me) but that's about it. I think she's going to be our tom boy. Shellie tries to push girly stuff on her like the Princess' but unless it is something special (like the talking kitchen), she could care less. RJ...he's our line backer! The girls are going to love him when he gets older. I don't look for him to put his books first like Chance does.
Well..the weather is suppose to be yucky today so I'm going to spend it getting my Christmas cards done and if I get them all done, run them to the post office & the box I have ready for elfster to the Ship It store.Bill & I got my wrapping station all set up so depending on how my belly is holding out, I may get a few things wrapped too.
You all have a terrifically wonderful day!

Good morning everyone. What a blustery morning! The wind the other night was nothing compared to this morning. It didn’t get as warm yesterday as the weather person I listened to predicted either. But still was warmer than has been and more cold on the way, brrrr. Glad I discovered Cuddleduds. They have been a lifesaver.
Yesterday went by in a flash. Fixed breakfast for the kids then we headed off to church. Grabbed lunch and headed to IU to see my SIL. Haven’t seen her since she was transferred up to the nursing home
Our church Christmas party was last night. It was so much fun. We had dinner and then an ornament exchange. We did the “dirty Santa” but no one would steal anyone’s ornament until I finally took someone’s then the rest got in the game. The pastor said his wife told him he had to be good, but he got in the spirit of the game too before it was all over with. We laughed and just had such a good time. The kids had their own table and exchange and seemed to have a good time too.
Karen, you and Richard make such a cute couple. I am so happy for you.
Well, best get busy. Not working OT today, need to get Marsha’s package in the mail today and get to the store with my DIL. She wants me to help her make puppy chow for the cookie plates they are making to hand out. I hope everyone has a great day, stay warm, stay safe, and don’t get blown away.
Julie
How scary for your SIL. I hope she is doing better soon.
The church party does sound like it was fun. Its so neat that you are a member of a great congregation!
My Mom had a friend who used to make loads of that puppychow stuff. My kids love it... well I do too. I may have to get to the store and make some for us to have here. But not trusting myself to stay out of it though!!
Stay warm!!

Leah,
Nan is doing so much better than the last time I saw her before she was moved to Monticello. She had been at the stroke rehab unit in Community Hospital in Indy but because of not having the strength at that time to withstand physical therapy they had her moved to a nursing home. But she is so much better that my brother is going to see if she can be readmitted to the stroke unit again. She had better care there because their job is to get the patients well enough to go home and don't treat them like they are just waiting to die like most nursing homes do.
I love being part of a church family. Like any family there are issues, but we try and resolve them and carry on. But I wouldn't trade it for anything.
I love puppy chow too, but with the sugars it has in it I stay away from it. Hmmm, wonder if there's a way to make it sugar-free? I did make some sugar free cookies while we were baking. Had such a good time with my Ashley.
Take care,
Julie
I am just getting started on my day. I am kinda slow going this morning. I kept up with the kids all weekend so, inspite of having a busy weekend, the housework is mostly done. I am finishing up a couple loads of laundry today. Yipee!
I plan to go over to IWU and apply for a job. I am hoping so much to get on there. It is virtually out my backdoor and one block away. Not to mention, my kids would be getting their tuition paid for after I work there for two years. Kelli wants to go there so bad.... I really don't see it happening if I don't get a job there.
I am looking for just about anything that can pay me well enough to make up for the job I just lost. I am really ready to get back into a routine. Im starting to go stir crazy in my little house.
Hope you all have a great day!
Huge Hugs, Tracy
