Saturday - 12 days till Christmas

Good Morning All.  Once again I could sleep in and I'm wide awake.  Been up since before 5:00 a.m.

Accomplished quite a bit of what my DIL and I had planned yesterday.  After Ashley got off to school, we took off running.  Stopped at the post office first.  The window wasn't even open yet and there was a line to mail packages, so I decided to wait till later for mine.  Went up to church to drop off the bulletins for this week and had a short visit with the pastor's wife.  Then we stopped for breakfast.  From there went to Michael's, to Clay Terrace, to Cost Plus World Market, and finally headed home.  Oh yea, swung by Hardee's and picked up a Big Chef to take home for a late lunch..  I love the hamburger, less the bun.  Actually I like the sauce.  Then I started on the garage.  We got through quite a few boxes.  I ended up taking a load to Goodwill and my son took a load to the trash when he got home.  So we made a big dent in things.  Now just need to get the storage boxes back up in the attic.

Today the plan is baking.  Ashley is excited about that.  I remember when her daddy was little and how he loved to help bake cookies.  I love being so close so we can do things like this together.  That's why I moved back her from Arizona in the first place.

Well you all have a wonderful day.  And thanks again to everyone for their prayers for Marsha.  We all appreciate it.  My baby sister is special to me.  I raised her when our mother died from breast cancer, so you know why we are worried.

Good morning everyone!

Bill is still sleeping...i just can't get switched to 'off' mode. I've been awake since 4:15. I'm going to start working on getting my Christmas Card list updated. Which means...I have to first implement the changes in the directory that Floyd had sent out! LOL! I don't know if I'll get it done before Bill wakes up, but getting started is always the hardest thing! If you haven't sent your info to Floyd for the directory, please send it to him..and to me (so I can include you on my Christmas card list!). If you had before but did not get a copy of the directory EMAIL Floyd so that he can get an accurate email addy for you.Floyd's addy is [email protected]. Mine is [email protected]. Include: full name, screen name, email & home address, phone #, spouse/sig. other's name, special dates (borthdate, anniversary, surgery anniversary).

Afterwhile, we're going to run over to PetSmart. One of the animal rescue places are going to be there from noon-4. Not sure what else we'll get done today. I still need to do some serious shopping. I think Bill plans to go with me to everywhere. Ladies...you know how much fun THAT can be! There are a few guys (like Floyd) who doesn't mind shopping at all. Bill goes just because he's afraid I'll lift something I shouldn't. Gotta love him for that..butI think he includes my credit card as something I shouldn't be lifting much of either! LOL!

Gail...GF..call me if you want to talk later...k? I miss my 911 calls!!! It's great that Gail & Ellen are both on AT&T (cingular!!) cell phone service. We can talk as long as we want!! They have the mobile to mobile free. I wish my daughter would switch over too! Anyone else on AT&T so we can add you to the list of who we could as much as we want!

I didn't get much accomplished at all yesterday. It seemed to be a day that either my stomach was hurting, I had a headache, or my hemmeroids were hurting...or all three at the same time! I really hope today is better! I had done two epson salt sitz baths yesterday. I'm going to get in the tub pretty soon I think for the 1st one today. That seems to help more than anything else.

Good morning all!  I am just planning to hangout with the kids today.  Tyler has a basketball game this afternoon.  Other than that, we probably will just play cards and board games most of the day and have some Mommy time.  These are my favorite kind of days.

I got a good job lead this week, but it might be a very competitive postition since UE is so high right now.  Keep your fingers crossed.

I would love to find something soon.  The stayin home thing isn't much for me.

We had a change in plans ,we arent staying at atterbury tonight.
But we are still going to Seymour tomorrow for lunch with the ladies i cant wait...
So we are going to get our tree and decorate it with the boys,but first Neil and I are heading to IKEA to get joey a new bed frame for christmas
Andy has his first formal dance so we got to go hunting dress clothes,any ideas?He is also Joseph in the play at church next Sunday.
Well better  get busy
Sherry neil hates clothing stores ,drives him nuts so he goes to smoke and i spend.lol

Hi Everyone,
 I have had an up & down week- up feeling 110% Tues. & down since. I think that bug bit me in the butt!!! I slept most of the day Wed. & yesturday I THOUGHT I was better- until ready to head out the door for my exercise with my trainer- then bamm!! I missed our churches Volunteer luncheon, & my friend wants to go shopping today-darn!I just feel so weak & don't think running around is the answer. Plus, the house is a wreck! I did fix Dana a meal last night then back to the recliner. Oh well, it will all get done when I can. Dana has been helping with the dishes, & laundry, thankfully.

 He put up the big tree in the family room- there it sits, no lights, bulbs, etc. & I really don't feel like bothering. We will get to it sooner or later.  I do believe God has an answer for us through the hard times lately everyone is having. Our faith in Him is whats important- more so than what is under the tree. I know- tell that to my grandkids-hee~hee!! I have been reading & focusing more on the reason we celebrate. This yr. it will be a smaller Christmas here. We really cut back since DH is retired & we have had to help out the kids several times this  yr.We are going to do ours the 27th- Penny's 40th birthday-so its a duel celebration. She is in a lot of depression lately- the surgery has caught up with her. She is going back to work on Tues. under Drs. orders of no lifting. I think she is stir crazy at home,too. 
 
Sherri, it was great talking to you!Now for the test to be over & things figured out for you! Have fun with selecting a dog for your house. It would be nice if Bill could get one of the trained dogs for limited vision. A person in our church got one & he is wonderful! He got it thru the Loins Club. He had to go for a week of training with it & has a sign that says "I'm on duty- please don't pet me'.I think it is awesome because he had no outside mobility without his wife, & now goes, & goes! If I felt better I'd come & go with you shopping & leave the boys to talk "shop". Hee~hee! 

 Tracey- enjoy your day with your boys- we use to have game night once a week with the girls when they were young. It was wonderful meeting you & your DH. I don't remember your friends name-tell her "hi" for me!
 Julies- I'm glad you got so much done yesturday! Enjoy your baking with your grandaughter! I do when Willow & I spend time together  - sounds like giggle time at your house,too. Lets get together soon for coffee again! I am keeping Marsha in my prayers.
Jeanna & Christie- Hope you are doing well today- remember to sip, walk, and try to get your protien in. the water weight will come off, so stay off these scales(If you can) It was great to see you  at the hospital Christie!

Hi to everyone on here.  I have time for a quick update and then I need to hit the shower.  Big day ahead!  Thank you so much for all the kind words, thoughts, and encouragement after I posted my big announcement.  I read all of your posts to Richard and he really enjoyed them too especially when I came to one from someone he had met last Sat. at the ornament exchange. 

We picked out my engagement ring set last Thursday night and it should be ready for pick up next Friday the 19th.  He has some big secret evening planned for me, so it should be an exciting time.  I'll be sure to post all the details (well some of them anyway, hahahaha) 

He and I are going late this afternoon to Gas City to play Santa.  I have a new Mrs. Claus outfit.  Can't wait.  Should be fun.  After that we are headed to Marion to see the light display.  He has never seen it before.  Tracy, I have your address and phone number.  We may give you a call and intrude on you for some hot tea or coffee.  Feel free to let us know if it is not a good time and we can catch up later.  You are not that far from me.  Just be prepared that we will both be in full costume from the North Pole.  How old are your kids?  They may get a kick out of Santa coming to visit at their house. 

I will log on before I leave the house at 1:00 to see if you have written, Tracy.  If not I have your phone number with me.  I am bringing my camera with me, so maybe you can get some pics of us together.  Hope to catch up with you later.  Karen

OOH I wish I lived near Gas City! I bet the 2 of you look so cute! I am jealous, I wanna see Santa and Mrs. Claus!!!! Could you please send me a pic, I would love to see ya both and in costume! How fun!! I am so happy for the 2 of you! What a sweet couple! The children will be so happy! I am sure that your "love" shows just as much being the "jolly couple", too! Have fun, I am sure ya will! I've been up for a while. I'm in a crafty mood. Having fun but I'm taking a break because I have blisters on a couple finger tips from my hot glue gun LOL.. It's attacking me and winning.

I can't wait til the lunch tomorrow. :)
