TGIF!
Lisa,
You didn't say anything hon. No one did. I just got to thinking about it and felt a little guilty and was hoping that no one took it as me saying 'na-na-na-na' ..you know? Everyone doesn't know me as well as some of you do and could have taken it the wrong way. I tend to forget that there are new folks coming on here every day that doesn't know the 'Sherri history'.
We went to the shelter today and looked around. Bill liked a sheperd mix that was just a little bit TOO laid back to me. Meanwhile...I fell in love with a rot (too big) and a dobie (too high strung). I never thought I'd want either of these breeds but they were so dang loveable! Oh..and people..if you want a puppy...please go to the shelters and check those out. There were so many loveable little pups! If I had a HUGE property with lots & lots of room, there wouldn't have been any puppies or kittens left to need a home! Until I retire, a puppy just won't work. I'm going to have to be able to be home to do the house training. Bill will be great with an adult dog that can let him know when it has to go potty but a pup? They'd never get their signals straight!
Did you have a blood clot recently? When I was on the coumadin, they never did get my blood in the theraputic range. I think 1.7 was the closest it got...and it didn't stay there very long. They told me that if you get a clot (I had 2) from a surgery (mine was the plastics) that they usually just keep you on it for 6 months (mine was less than that because my white counts got screwy..but then, they are screwy right now and I'm not on any meds that could cause it...????). ~1.0 is where 'normal' is...I think it was ~2.0 where they like for people who have had clots to be at. My mil had a blood clot and they tried to get her in range with coumadin. They couldn't without risking her bleeding too much from her hemmeroids. So..they put a filter in her leg artery to catch any clots. I think that is way cool. I don't know what they do to break down any clots that reach that screen. You might want to ask your doc about it. It's a pretty simple procedure to do it and she was told that ALL clots start in the legs so if you catch them before they leave the leg, you don't have to worry about any getting in your lung, heart, brain, etc.

Thank you sweetie
Try craigslist and freecycle about a dog...
I love dobies (we have a full blooded one)and she is so high strung.
We had a rottie and she was the best very smart and well behaved and no shedding..
I had the the clot in feb and still have my filter in place.
They keep talking about taking me off the medicine and then my level goes back down.
She thinks it has to do with my monthly female issues.
My thing is with everybody being so ill i dont feel right complaining...
Well im off to get the christmas tree weehooo.

I am finally getting online to post today. I spent the day with Kim. I picked her up at 9 and dropped the kids off to school. Then I brought her to my house, fed her and had one of my friends come over so we could do facials and makeup with her as our Mary Kay Consultant. It was fun and Kim looked so pretty.
She finally broke down and told me some ideas for gifts for the kids. I have information for anyone who has asked.
Sherri, check online for the German Shepherd rescues too. They are a great source for finding wonderful pets that need adopted as well.
Andrea your family is on my prayer list.
Annette your post really touched me today too. I sometimes am guilty of self pity. I am truly trying to get over that and focus on others.
It's great to hear from everyone.
Take care and Huge hugs,
Tracy
