Well, I finally said YES!!!!!!

For those of you who were at the ornament exchange, you had the chance to meet Richard, the most wonderful man in the world.  (OK, I know there are a few of you out there who would like to challenge me on that, but it's my opinion right now that counts on this...)  This has been a quick courtship.  I am head over heels and so is he!  He is much older than me, and so he is not exactly who I expected God would bring into my life, but he is the answer to my prayers.  I feel so loved, cared for, and cherished.  His wife passed away about a year and a half ago and he finally felt ready to see who else God had out there for him.  I was at the same point in my life and so God used a mutual friend of ours to introduce us.  The rest is history!  He had proposed numerous times and Sunday I finally felt the peace to accept!  We are looking for rings this weekend.  We have tentatively set a date for June, 2010.  This could be moved up depending upon my daughter's situation.  As many of you know, I live with my daughter and granddaughter.  I am putting my daughter through college and grad school.  She will finish with her Master's Degree in Social Work in May of 2009.  I promised that I would stay with her until she got on her feet with a real job.  So my prayer now is that this happens quickly so I don't have to wait until June 2010 to be with the love of my life on a permanent basis.  I can assure you that you will see him with me at future events.  He really enjoyed his time with you all last Sat. and you made him feel very welcome!  Have a great day!  I know my feet still aren't touching the ground!!!!  Karen

I'm not sure I'd use the word 'finally'! LOL! I couldn't be happier for you & Richard! Have you guys discussed the particulars? church wedding? JP? Etc? Let me know so I can mark my calendar!!! Are there any camp grounds near you? Since it's during the summer, maybe Bill & I could make a mini vacation out of it. Or...you guys could wait until August and have it at Hope's. I'm sure none of us campers would mind decorating the pavilion at all!! just a thought...

I am so glad that God sent you to each other. I'm very happy for both of you. You found a good man to treat you right..and well heck, he found the best woman he could ever find!
