Getting to know each other - 3 more questions

Hey, everyone feel free to play along on these questions.  They are just for fun and kinda of a way to learn more about each other.  I am posting them tonight because I have to go to my Dad's house tomorrow and I didn't wanna miss out on them.

1.  What is your favorite season on the year and why?

Mine is Fall.  I love all the colors!  I love the feel of sitting around a campfire in the fall and enjoying the outdoors.  It's neat to just experience all of the beautiful things God has made in the fall.

2.  Do you have a hobby or collection of anything?  If so, what?

I collect lighthouses and beanie babies.  Lighthouses because my mom used to sing a song in church about "the lighthouse".  And beanie babies was something I started for my son when we would go to the hospital to visit my mom near the end.  I never stopped collecting them after she passed.

3.  What's your favorite board game or card game?

Mine would have to be Clue.  I love investigating things and digging into things to see what's up.  Nosy or just curious....  I'm not really sure.

Hope you all have a great day!

Huge Hugs!

Tracy

Thanks for starting this, Tracy, these are fun!

1. Hmmm...my favorite seasons are spring and fall...I guess fall has a slight edge.

2. I have a nice collection of Nativity scenes, and I'm also collecting "Old Curiosity Shop" china. I remember these from my childhood, my mom got them from collecting green stamps, remember those? She broke them all, but I saw one at a yard sale and picked it up, and now I search yard sales and eBay and have bought about 10 pieces so far.

3. Favorite board game...Monopoly, but I never win!!

1.  What is your favorite season on the year and why?

I love Spring.  The newness of everything, the freshness and new start.   It is in the Spring I see he hand of God in everything around me.

2.  Do you have a hobby or collection of anything?  If so, what?

I have always collected cookbooks even with WLS surgery I still enjoy them especially ones from other parts of the country that have the regional recipes in them.  Got a great one from Charleston this summer with Low Country recipes.

3.  What's your favorite board game or card game?

I love Scrabble, when I had my surgery my friend brought her game with her and we played for hours in the hospital and while I was off for recovery.

Thanks Tracy, this is really fun.

1.  What is your favorite season on the year and why?

Hmm, that's a tough one. I like the temperatures in Spring and Fall, but hate the rain that comes. I think I'd have to say Fall. The leaves falling off the trees, the smell of burning leaves just make it feel cozy.

2.  Do you have a hobby or collection of anything?  If so, what?

When I was young I collected porceline dolls. When I grew up and got married, my mom packed them up and gave them to me. They are now in a curio cabinet in my living room, though I hate dusting that thing! ;o)

3.  What's your favorite board game or card game?

My almost 9 year old has a game called the Brain Game. It's like trivial pursuit for kids. It's really quite fun. I almost always know the answers so my son thinks I'm really smart, but when I don't know the answer it makes me feel really dumb!

1.  What is your favorite season on the year and why?

Summer! I hate freezing my butt off! Maybe if we ever retire to Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico or any other 'warm' state, I can start enjoying the other three seasons as well!

2.  Do you have a hobby or collection of anything?  If so, what?

I have several porcelon dolls. I also have a pretty good collection of books, cook books, craft stuff (plastic canvas), and country music CD's. I had a terrific collection of software but I recently just gave most of them to Tiffany & her family.

3.  What's your favorite board game or card game?

I enjoy poker & euchre although I haven't played in quite awhile. Growing up, we played Yatzee at my grandparents every year with my cousins but didn't really do any board games at home. That would have required the three of us girls (my brother is 7 yrs younger than me so he was too young to play) to get along enough to agree on which game to play. Now...I think my favorite game is 'play with the magi**** cube'. LOL!

LMBO!  Sherri, I think Marc would give you a challenge on the icecube game.  I posted those pics on myspace.  I will put them on my profile here too.  I almost had to leave the table to keep from laughing out loud.  Felt like the bad girl giggling in church.  Thanks for the great memories!

Thanks again Tracy for doing this! I find it very interesting to see what other people think on all the questions presented to them.
1. What is my favorite time of year and why?
well awhile ago it was Christmas and now that has changed. It is now fall. I love the fall colors! THe changing of the leaves on the trees, the leaves falling and the swish of them as you walk through a pile of them. Also I love to watch the farmers pick their crops. The thing I think I love the most is all the craft festivals, especially the covered bridge festival!

2.Do I have a hobby or collect anything? If so what.
I collect Elephants. I started collecting them on grad night at Kings Island in 1977. I have slowed down on buying them these days because I am running out of places to display them.
I like to read. But the biggest hobby I have is Photography. I have 2 35 mm film cameras and 1 digital camera. They are all Canon brand cameras'. I don't like my picture taken but love to take pictures. My favorite thing to take pictures of was my dog, Snowy who is no longer with us. She was a HAMM! I don't take as many pictures now because of the cost of development. When i do take them it is with the digital because it is more cost effective.

3. What is my favorite board game or card game?
I love to play euchre! As a matter of fact I am trying to get a group of people from Kokomo and Tipton together to start a euchre club. Anyone want to join? I am not to hip on board games!

Well everyone have a great day!

1. What is your favorite season on the year and why?

Spring and then early summer. There's just something about the "newness" as flowers and leaves emearge(sp?). Plus the warm weather helps my RSD be less of a problem.

2. Do you have a hobby or collection of anything? If so, what?

I do puzzles.... like 500 piece puzzles. I collect Stephen King and Dean Koontz books, even under their psudo names. And I journal.... A LOT, since I was real young and have kept all of the books throughout the years. They are fun to read from time to time.

3. What's your favorite board game or card game?

Board game: Sorry or Parchese.

I'm not a great card player because I can't remember how games go, so I usually just stick to solitare.

Tracy,

Thank you so much for taking this over and continuing this tradition. With all I have going on physically and mostly emotionally, I just couldn't further commit to this and felt a lot of guilt and grief for not being able to do this. I know this Wednesday "Getting To Know You" is anticipated by a lot of people and it really has helped break the "ice" into getting to know people on here. Plus.... it's just darn fun!!!!

So Thank You Very Much From The Bottom Of My Heart.

Blessings

Jodi, I knew you were going thru alot and I really missed it.  I just figured I would do it for a while and eventually pass the torch to someone else.  It really is sooo fun.  I love learning more about my OH family.

I hope you are doing better and its great to hear from you.

Huge hugs,
Tracy
