My terrible, horrible, crappy, no good day... needing some love and support I guess

I started the day off freaking out because I accidentally scheduled my therapy appointment at the same time as my hematology appointment because I thought that was at 8 am for some reason. So I had to call without 24 hour notice (they aren't opened on Fridays) to my therapist's office to tell the therapist that was nice enough to squeeze me in with her patients because mine is on maternity leave to tell them I couldn't make it.

Soo I made it to my hematology appointment and it's a good thing I did. Either A) My body isn't going to store the iron infusions as well as we hoped or B) I was in a lot worse shape to begin with as far as my counts. We know this because my counts are still down and too low even though there is some slight improvement. So I have to call tomorrow but I'll probably end up having to start weekly iron infusions again. They called me 10 minutes before I walked in the door from Walmart from getting my prescriptions which is explained in the next paragraph. I had to rush home to the kids I babysit and get them together to go to Wal-Mart.

I had to call my Asthma doc today too and thankfully they didn't make me come in they called me a new antibiotic (Vantin) because zithromax didn't work and some cough syrup (Tussionex, and don't get me started on this I just bawled and cried when I got home because i bought it. 3 oz cost 50.00) and I have to take steroids for 2 weeks. Not fun at all but I didn't have to go in. After spending 10 mins on the phone with the insurance company trying to figure out how come they didn't cover my cough syrup they swear they did and it was supposed to be 240.00 or something like that but most the time my prescription slip says :med cost : yada yada patient cost: yada yada and it just has the patient cost so I don't know. It doesn't help that I had to do all these phone calls with NO voice.   Was told my bronchitis MIGHT be turning into pneumonia and if I'm not much better by the end of the week I have to call again. I'm on steroids and all that crap.

Now for my therapy thing I don't know what is going to happen because the therapist never bothered to return my phone call. Fun huh? I hope she's not angry at me. I feel horrible nough bout it. I have no clue if I'm gonna be able to get in to therapy this week


Sooo I have no clue unless these meds kick in like really good tonight I'm probably not gonna make the party tomorrow or if I do it'll be for a small bit and then leave.

Christie I will NOT visit you because the last thing you need is a cold on top of being new out of surgery, you'll already be high nough rish for pneumonia.

Misty, I'm sorry you're feeling so awful, but hope and pray the new meds will work quickly. If you have a tier level on your prescription coverage, the cough syrup might actually be $50 copay. I have a med that my son takes that is a $40 copay. It stinks, but it is possible.

Hope your therapist will understand that we are all human and make mistakes and you just have a lot on your plate right now (thus needing your therapy appts) and forgive you.

Our highest copay is supposed to be 40.00 but oh well.. It's done now.

i am so sorry that you are feeling so bad. if you cant make the party, dont feel bad about it. we all understand, when you are sick you have to take care of you. lots of hugs.         heidi

I'm still up so I'm unsure how I'm gonna feel. I am gonna find out from my doc if I could be contagious still too because I don't wanna make any one else sick. I wanna meet you and a few of the others that I've gotten to know through this lil box soo badly!
