It's on page 3 of the book they gave us at the pre op class - the one that says "A Special Diet the Day Before Surgery" under "A full liquid lunch"....

check your book - I hope I'm not seeing things!!  I've got the juices, broth, and popsicles for dinner - that's supposed to be clear liquids.

Oops - you have Dr. Kaderabek, so your instructions might not be the same - but our books should be the same!

I also had Dr Evanson.  My surgery was 6/4/08 and I have lost 110lbs so far.  You will be fine I think.  Just make sure to drink lots of water the rest of the day so you can hopefully flush the other liquid out.  Good luck to you on your new journey.

What fantastic results you've had in just 6 months!  Way to go!

Thanks for your advice - I'm drinking plain water and I've had a glass of Juicy Juice no sugar added white grape juice for variety (which is also in the book), so I've calmed down and think I'm just fine.

One can of Ginger Ale isn't going to break the deal.  I just have to be careful the rest of the day, and get some Diet Ginger Ale since the yellow sheets say I can have that this afternoon.  Probably cause it is non caffeine, and I noticed when I poured it in a glass, has really not much carbonation at all.

I'm actually looking forward to a mug of broth for dinner and maybe a popsicle later on as a treat.  Then, early to bed for the big day tomorrow!

THANKS!  Can't wait for you to join us on the loser's bench.

I was a diet coke fanatic also.  I drink mostly water now.  I have tried a couple sips of diet coke and I can't stand it anymore.  My how things change!

Try to relax and get plenty of rest.  I was not nervous when I got to the hospital.  Things moved so quickly that I really didn't have time to be nervious.  I was the first patient of the day though.

Please have someone post how you are doing and good luck tomorrow.

Wish I was Dr. E's first patient of the day!  I'm likely about his 3rd though since my surgery is not scheduled till 11 AM.  I don't know what time he starts.  But if he can take me in sooner, I definitely won't complain!

I'm afraid time will just drag and I'll have time to get really nervous.  Hopefully they'll let me have something to calm my nerves if it gets too bad.

I'll try to get as much rest as I can, while still walking and sipping!

I'm looking forward to some relaxing time off work, watching my favorite movies, and walking laps around my house when I come home.

I am really gonna miss Diet Coke though.  It would probably take me trying it a few months down the road and having it taste nasty to cure me.  Although, I didn't think I'd ever in my life give up regular Coke, but I did for Diet Coke about 4 years ago, and can't stand regular Coke, so maybe there's hope for me yet!

Ya'll scooch over and make room for Jeanna and I to join you on the loser's bench tomorrow!!

Good Luck to both of you girls tomorrow.  I will say a special prayer for each of you.  Don't stress yourselves out.  Everything will go just fine.  Chris, I was only there for 26 hours after my surgery and was more than ready to go home.  I hope you feel just as great and will be off and running to the losers bench.  Jenna, best wishes to you too girl.  I am so happy for you.

Take care,
Huge hugs,
Tracy
