I take my vitamins in the morning and again in the evening, the ones in the evening are the hardest thing I do each day to remember.  I have set the alarm on my cell phone and sometimes I shut it off and continue what I am doing and still forget.

Chicken hasn't been bad for me.  I normally do boiled chicken and then shred it in the food processor.  I then use the chicken for things like chicken white chilli, white chicken pizza, any kind of casserole type dish.  I rarely eat just a grilled chicken breast, but when I do it goes down fine as long as I remember to take very small bites.

Jeanna,

Be careful believing  'I heards'' about weight loss surgery. We are all individual, unique people and our journies are as well. I know people who couldn't choke down chicken. I know other's that chicken is the only meat they can keep down. That can be said about pretty much every meat....or vegetable..or fruit...or dairy...or protein drink. You are not going to know what will give you problems until you are post-op and are at a stage to try it. Even at that, sometimes what is good one day is not so good the next...but fine a week after that.

Any time you hear 'All people had  ____'....I'm not sure I would believe it..ok? Not everyone dumps. Not everyone loses hair. Not everyone has strictures. Not everyone has ulcers. You just tend to hear about those who do, that's all.

At one time, I had problems getting in my protein drinks. Now..I have the most problems remembering my vitamins on my days off..and my calcium.

I have to agree sometimes the vitamins are harder to remember than most anything else.  I have found routine is the only way to get it done.

My hardest thing since surgery is to drink enough fluids everyday.  I have to practically keep a water bottle fastened to me in order to keep drinking enough.  I battle dehydration nearly every week at some point.

Attitude and Routine will be what you gets you through.  I am sure you are gonna do just great.  Trust your instincts and have confidence that you will do great with this.  It's really the first time I have ever had this kind of success.  I am still amazed by it everyday.

Huge hugs,
Tracy

Tracy,

What has helped me best to get my water in is to keep a bottle with me that has a pull-out top on it instead of the screw on cap. Sounds like a silly, simple thing but I'm much more prone to take a drink if I just have to 'open' it by pulling it open with my teeth than having to use both hands to take the cap off. Sounds lazy I know but that's what works for me. But then, I'm also the one that keeps my Bluetooth on my ear so I can talk hands-free. lol! And I do keep water with me 24/7..even on the headboard at night!

We actually DO like the taste of our fauce****er...as long as it is COLD. So..we have about a half a dozen of those pull-cap bottles that we keep in the fridge. As we drink one down, we fill it back up and stick in the fridge. It's ALOT cheaper than individual bottles!
