Wahhhhh!!!!

This is Wednesday night.  Surgery is supposed to be Tuesday morning.  Dr. E's office has not yet received the results of my cardiac testing.  Due to my age, he will not operate without cardiac clearance.

His nurse asks me to call the place where I had the testing done.  They tell me that since I don't have a PCP with them, that they won't tell me anything.  I say I don't wanna know anything - I want you to fax the results to the doc that ordered the freakin' tests!

"We're sorry.  Since you do not have a doctor with us, that doctor will have to call us and ask about the tests.  We won't fax them".  I'm livid at this point.  I leave voice mail and an e-mail for Dr. E's nurse.  If they can't get those results, I am SO screwed!

I just hope that Dr. E quits using them if they are going to hassle him about it.  Especially after the tech drew blood during the test by ripping my skin open with the ultrasound wand.  GRRRRR!!!

Hopefully, Dr. E's nurse will be able to get the results.  I asked in my e-mail that she at least shoot me a quick e-mail when she gets them and if I am cleared for surgery.  My mammogram came back ok, so this is the last hurdle.

To my knowledge, I have no problems.  However, there's a strong family history of cardiac problems.  Crap!!!

I tend to think that since you have had the test, getting the results in time should fall in place.  Your already scheduled, they don't want to rearrange it any more than you do.  Hang in there and keep your chip up.

Oh Christie, isn't the paperwork a pain in the rear? I will hope and pray that Dr. E's office is able to get all your results.

Melissa, you are so right.  Surely, they'll be able to get the results in time  -   and it'll clear me for surgery!!

It was so easy for my approval and journey, almost too quick.. It sucks when people have to jump through all these hoops and then the hoops don't do their job.

Ain't it the truth!  If I wasn't a basket case before, I sure am now!!

Hang tough girl!   The insurance company lost my entire file shortly before mine and they told me at St. V that it was already approved and scheduled... so it would be going thru as planned.  Sometimes these things get all messed around.  I am sure it will be fine.  BUT, I would be on the phone every hour on the hour tomorrow bugging them.  LOL.

Who do they think they are trying to mess with our after party hostess?!!!

Good luck and keep us informed.  I will say a prayer for you tonight.

Thanks Tracy.  I am so bummed right now!  I will probably be on the phone to Dr. E's office again first thing in the morning (although I can never get a live human!).  I'll probably e-mail the nurse again right away in the morning. 

I suppose if it is cancelled, there's nothing I can do about it, but doggone it!  After all that testing!!  $4200 worth plus whatever the mammogram and cardiac testing cost!!  I hope they can get me rescheduled before my insurance approval expires !!!

Nope - not gonna claim that.  They are NOT rescheduling my surgery - not even if I have to go to those cardiologists and grab 'em by the you-know-whats to get those results!!!!

I'm with jeannie on this one IT WILL WORK OUT!
