Hello!

Just getting on here to post what I know today about Bobbi (bnonte) and saw your message ... as of today, not much change, however - the heart doctor said her heart is perfect, so that is great news!  They're going to try again tomorrow to take her off the ventilator, and if they can't tomorrow, they will definately take her off Tuesday and do the trachea, so either way by Tuesday she will be off the vent.  We're praying she does okay enough tomorrow they don't have to do the trach on Tuesday and go that route.

That's all I know right now ... I will post again tomorrow any updates either way.

Thanks again everyone for the concern, thoughts and prayers. Bobbi would be so touched and I cant' wait for her to see how many people out there are pulling for her!!

Linda Kay's sister (Rita) is doing as well as can be expected at the moment.  I don't know what information has been passed along to the group, so here's a brief summary...

The doctors have determined that the 12 cm mass in her Rita's lung is cancer and cancer was also found in her brain.  They've started chemo and radiation treatments and it's already taking it's toll on her.  Doctors have told Linda that the cancer is terminal and she's got less than a year to live. 

Understandably, this is very rough on Linda.  Especially because it has so many similarities to the way they lost their mother 14 years ago and it brings back all of those painful memories too.  Not to mention that her sister has kind of been Linda's sudo-mother for the last 14 years and this is like losing her mother all over again.

Prayers for Linda Kay and her sister Rita are greatly appreciated.  Thanks for keeping them in your thoughts!!
