How is Bobbi doing?

I wrote about my own intestinal experiences to you on the Main Board. I can definately empathize with all that she and your family are going through...and will be going through. Please let her know that we all care about her. Should she feel the need to talk with someone who has been through a very similar experience, please tell her that she is more than welcome to contact me.

Something that would had really helped me those first few days is if someone would had brought in a calendar with the date circled...and the day(s) noted that the surgeries were. It was so hard for me to mentally get around the idea of being out for 9 days and that 5 surgeries had taken place during that time.

Hi Sherri ... I was waiting a few days to update hoping there would be something more positive to report ... they were going to try to take her off the vent the latter part of this past week, but I think they might have pushed that out due to it being a holiday, they have to have certain personnel there ... anyway it did not happen but last I heard they're going to keep trying and get her a trachea in versus the vent, so hopefully that will happen here in the next few days. The big worry now is her lungs and they're even bringing the cardiologist in, I think her heartrate was doing some weird things, but on the positive side, her kidneys are doing good, she's pushing out about 4,000 ccs of fluid, which has about tripled so that is great ... and her bowels are moving regularly, so I think all the insides are healing where the surgery itself was done, bowel fixed, etc. so we are going to keep thanking the Lord for what he gives us and having complete faith He will continue to heal her in His time! I am hoping to hear something today and will update if I do.

I am sure when Bobbi gets home and back on her feet, able to get on here, you will be someone she will want to talk to having gone through similar experiences!
