Leah,

You shouldnt feel this way at all. From what I have noticed the ladies and gentlemen here are fantastic. I don't post often I just mainly lurk and read. My point being you are a part of this big family like I am. Your very loved on here and I enjoy reading your posts. By the way, I'm also from Crothersville and I am just in the research stage of having the surgery.

I hope to chat with you soon,

So Leah, I think you can consider yourself thoroughly hugged!

If you still don't feel welcome, it's gonna force me to tell the story of the circus animals, barium, and an upper GI again.....  no one wants that... LOL!!

If I am not home just leave something on my answering machine and I will get back with you. Just remember we all care.

Leah,

I don't post here very often but I do read the board a couple of times a week. I have met a couple of people but it seems like I get at least one response.

Give the gang another chance.....I think you will be glad you did. A lot of good advice is passed on the boards and I don't know where my husband and I would be had it not been for these. So much information and usually good support.

So hang in there and PM me anytime you would like.

Happy turkey day!!!!!

I want to thank everyone for their posts and messages.  I truly appreciate each and every one.  The need to belong somewhere is a strong feeling that I have.  It's hard being new to anything.  This whole experience is and has been very emotional for me.  Learning to deal with food as just a form of nourishment instead of my comfort, soother or best friend is difficult.  I feel like the emotional part of eating was my downfall.  I sought that comfort during my first marriage.  My ex is an alcoholic.  My self esteem and self image suffered so much throughout those years.  Its tough finding my way back to being "me".
I look forward to getting to know more people on here.
Sorry to those who don't see what I was talking about not feeling welcome.  But to those who did understand... you taking the time to tell me that I wasn't alone in feeling that way.  I can't tell you how much that meant to me.  Thanks from the bottom of my heart.
Blessings to you all, Leah
