long time.. need support
Hi everyone, its been a long time since I posted any updates. There are so many new faces. I am doing good, my divorce is ongoing and stressful, he will not cooperate and I now have a protective order on him, so at least I don't have to deal with him at all right now. I have been doing pretty well weight wise until just recently. My cut-off point is 5 lbs gain and then I get back to the basics and the weight comes right off, but not now. I have gained 11 pounds from my lowest weight and its freaking me out. Today I started the 5 day pouch test, so I have already had 2 liquid protein shakes, I think this is the only weigh I can get off the carbs. I am uping my exercise too, so I hope it works. It sure does make me nervous. I'm surprised how obsessed I am with what I am eating and weighing myself, it hasn't been like that since I was heavy before surgery. I guess old habits die hard.

Sarah, Hang in there. Sounds like you have gone thru a ton of things lately. You will be fine, I can tell by your attitude. You are going at it the right way and trying to conquer it before it gets way outta hand.
I am 6 months out but my older sister had her surgery about the same time as you. She has struggled with some other issues that set her back but she is on the right track again. YOU CAN DO IT GIRL!
Take care and dont forget about us. We are here for you.

Hi Sarah
I am just six weeks out from my lap RNY.
Sorry to hear about the stress from the divorce that you are going through. I remember that all too well.
Sounds like you have a great frame of mind to keep yourself in check. I have been to a few support group meetings locally and I am amazed at the amount of people who have gained so much weight back after surgery. That scares the crap out of me.
Going back to basics sounds like a good idea.
Glad to hear from you and looking forward to getting to know you better.

Sarah, First of all...Hi Neighbor!!!!!... I think you shoulf be proud of your self for catching you weight gain at 11 lbs. instead of higher. A divorce is so ruff especially the months leading up to it and all of the decisions you make...Please be strong....When I went thru my divorce it was hard but I did not want my kids to think that it was ok to standby and let someone treat you like crap. Good luck!!!! Just think you are making new habits!!!!!!!!
