Hey, don't apologize! I'm glad you did! I went to Dr. Mattar's office for my six month checkup, it's about an hour and a half away for me. I allowed an extra 15 minutes "just in case," and still ended up being 20 minutes late because on 70, before I even got to New Castle, there must have been an accident or something because I hit the traffic where you sit still for 10-15 minutes, roll a little, sit still for 10-15 minutes, roll a little...you know. Whatever it was was gone by the time I got to it, I still don't know what caused the slowdown. There was no construction. My appointment was at 1:45 and I finally got there at 2:05, and in to see Dr. Mattar at about 2:45. I love that man!  He was very happy with my progress! They have you write down some of the stuff you're eating, and I was honest. He chastised me a little about my light Pringles that I eat once in a while, and the SweetTarts that made me sick a few nights ago. My iron was a little low, and my vitamin D was too, but all of my other levels were really good. I have to take some extra supplements until I get those levels back up. The nutritionist was really helpful and wants me to hold off on the bread...which I really don't eat much of...until I get to goal. They are really big on protein first, very little or no fruit, and almost no carbs in the first "quick weight loss" phase of about a year. I do pretty well with that, but I do like a few crackers with my chili!

Anyway...on the way home on 65 South, I was in the middle of rush hour and hit stop start traffic again, though this time it wasn't quite as bad. We don't get traffic like that in Richmond, I don't like it much! I hadn't eaten much all day so I stopped at the Greenfield exit to get some Steak & Shake chili. I wanted a cheeseburger, but I figured the chili would go down better and would give me a good shot of protein. I left my house at noon yesterday and didn't get home until between 6:30 and 7:00. Whew, long day!

Anyway, I said all that to say this...

Breakfast:  Hot Click
A little later:  One slice 35 calorie toast with peanut butter and a little grape jelly
Lunch: Nothing
Dinner: A cup of S&S chili, about 8 french fries (yeah, I know, but it's a rare treat...)
Snack: Mini bag of Kettle Korn popcorn

That was it...gotta do a bit better today. I'm joining a gym this week so I can start some aerobic and free weight work. Hope you all had a great day!

Jenny
