Prayer request for a friend

I have a friend that wa**** by a drunk driver while walking her dog on Thursday afternoon.  She is in critical but stable condition after being flown to Loyola Hospital in Chicago.  She had to have her left leg amputated.  She has a crushed pelvic region, a collapsed lung, damaged spleen, and blood clots.  They also put a drain in for blood on her brain.  She is a school teacher for an elementary school up north.  Her son married my niece so we are sorta, kinda, related now. 

I would appreciate prayers for Mary Lou.  They are keeping her in a coma most of the time to help the healing process.  She has had 5 surgeries in the few days already.

How devastating!  She is definitely on the prayer list.

Tracy - How tragic!  I hope they caught the person that was driving the car.  Prayers being said for Mary Lou and her family.

He didn't stop at the scene.  The passenger in the vehicle waited until he dropped her off at home and then she called and reported to the sherrif that he was the driver and that he was drunk.  He was arrested.  The passenger has contacted the family to apologize.  I am grateful that the passenger was willing to tell the name of the driver.  This was not his first time involving drunk driving and an accident.   Maybe this time he will finally pay for what he has done.

Thanks for the prayers!  God is in control and we have prayed for his guidance and will in Mary Lou's condition.  She is a christian as well. 

Don't forget to pray for Hope and Peter as well.  Sherri has been keeping us informed.

So sorry to hear this.  I'll keep her and the family in my thoughts and prayers.  Prayers also being said that the driver will now realize what he is doing to himself and others and get the help he needs.

Praying for your friend and her family

I am so sorry to hear this has happened to her and her family and those that are close to them.  I am praying for her recovery and her families determination.  I hope the person who did this gets what he deserves.
